What exactly is the “imperfect information” part? Ambassador Stevens and RSO Nordstrom repeatedly asked for security upgrades and were denied. The State Department employee responsible for this denials has gotten a promotion for covering for Hillary.

There were repeated warnings of Al Qaeda activity. Benghazi was a city controlled by Islamist militias linked to terrorist groups. Other diplomats and diplomatic facilities had been attacked and even the Benghazi mission had been attacked previously.

Ambassador Stevens’ last cable talked of threats from the militias that were supposed to provide security and warned of increasing violence.

What was imperfect or ambiguous about this exactly?

It’s not some sort of surprise twist ending like a diplomatic facility being overrun by Al Qaeda terrorists… in Brussels.

Report sheds light on ex-CIA deputy director's role in Benghazi talking points​

The email was from the CIA chief of station who was on the ground in Libya.

"The chief of station is the senior intelligence officer for the entire United States government," said Sam Faddis, who writes extensively about the CIA and intelligence community. "You would really have to have some incredibly overwhelming factual evidence to disregard that and there is no indication of that in the report at all."

Five former intelligence officials contacted by Fox News agreed with Faddis' assessment of the importance of the chief of station's email, but declined to speak on camera, citing personal reasons.

"The way the agency works, he's been running 24 hours a day to nail every fact, and probably they have been sending dozens of messages a day to Washington D.C.," Faddis said of the CIA station chief.

"And now he's reaching out four days into this, emailed directly to the most senior levels of his organization, saying again with the big red crayon as clearly as he can, there were no protests."

National Security Adviser Susan Rice insisted Sunday she used “the best information we had at the time” when she described the deadly Benghazi attack as a spontaneous protest in 2012 — but Sen. John McCain wasn’t buying it.

The Arizona Republican said he was “almost speechless” after learning of Ms. Rice’s comments on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” which marked her first interview on a Sunday talk show since her disastrous September 2012 appearances to discuss Benghazi.

“I’m almost speechless, because it’s patently obvious, first of all, that Susan Rice had no reason to be on the program, she had no involvement in it [Benghazi],” said Mr. McCain on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

“Second of all, she read talking points that we are now beginning to believe came from the White House which were absolutely false,” Mr. McCain said. “We now know that the CIA station chief on the ground sent a message immediately saying, ‘Not-slash-not spontaneous demonstration,’ and of course the information was totally misleading, totally false.”

Four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, were killed in the raid on Sept. 11, 2012, the anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. The other victims were former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, and State Department information management officer Sean Smith.

“For Susan Rice to say such a thing, it’s a little embarrassing to tell you the truth,” Mr. McCain said.

Just like an armored limousine is a safe haven but when attacked that safe haven only is desigened to be safe as long as it takes for the driver to get out of the danger zone.

It buys you seconds of safety. Not permanent safety.
