Yeah, Yeah, Yeah...And this doesn't mean anything and its only the 17th...HA The petition means nothing as compared to what will happen. A lot of people are participating that did not sign the petition. Gee, lets see...Ebay listings have gone down by 533,166 in the last 24 hours and the boycott hasn't even begun yet. While a lot of other sites have gone up in the last 24 hours. People are tired of ebay crap and are running to other sites...this report proves that. If anyone has stock in ebay, I would sell it all first thing tomorrow morning. Just to let you know about the dirty shit ebay is pulling...They have combined their store total listings with their actual listings in the last two days to make it appear to the stock holders that all is well. They are also allowing alot of auctions that are illegal and are not veroing them or pulling them to make it appear all is well. They are manupilating the listings...Isn't that like real close to cooking the books? Plus as soon as this boycott looked serious, they did damage control by letting ebay motors and GM have free listings...Sounds like they are a little concerned. They also have plans in the works to try and buy AOL which will allow them to manipulate the news about their stock and how things are doing.

In the time it took me to write this it has gone to the 4 oclock hour and has dropped another 22,584 listings. Thats -3.58%

Lets see, up at 7 am process the night before invoices and send out emails, 9 am print labels for that days packages and wrap stuff tape box packages, 11 am take packages to post office, 12 pm inventory shipments of goods ariving, 3 pm process invoices, deal with stupid people that cant read, answer questions about product, 5 pm order packing material, package items already sold during the day, 7pm create listings, take pictures of product, mare invoices, leave feed back, answer emails, close disputed items, send reminders to pay for item, process money orders for next day deposit, 9pm process sold items, send invoices, email, create invoices, print labels for what has sold up to 11pm, then start it all over again in the morning...So lets see, I worked 16 hours a day and you call me lazy? Fuck off!!!!! My dining room is a shipping and receiving department, My garage is a product storage facility. All I do is buy cheap...Wholesale...And sell for profit...Retail like any other store on the planet only I have to ship my product all over the world. Now ebay is countering the boycott by putting in themselves..."TEST AUCTIONS" to raise the numbers of their auctions to make it appear like the boycott isn't working. In this case I would considder that "COOKING THE BOOKS" What a bunch of dirty evil fuckers!

Can someone just quickly summarize what the changes are that Ebay made that the sellers are upset about? Did they jack up the listing prices again?
I used to try to sell stuff on ebay but I got really frustrated. Last I heard they were trying reduce the importance of the "sell it now" sales and go back to focusing on auction sales.

Hey Bennylava...Here it is in a nutshell...


1. final value fees increase.

2. 21 day hold of paypal funds.

3. unable to leave negative feedback for non paying bidders or any buyers for that matter.

4. detailed star ratings effect where your items comme up in search and possibly cause listing restrictions.

5. They are lying greedy bastards that call their sellers "NOISE".

First they came out and insulted the intelligence of every seller by promoting their new changes as a decrease in fees when in actuality it is a 66% increase. They have refered to the sellers as nothing but noise.

They are going to make it so no seller can leave anything but posative feedback for any buyer no matter how horrable the transaction goes. A buyer could rip you off curse at you or bid like crazy and not pay just to leave you the seller negative feedback and there is nothing that can be done about it.

They are going to implement a 21 day hold on monies from the buyer to the seller at their discretion and you must still ship the item the buyer purchased. The buyer can then have any kind of problem and complain and be reembursed their money and you are out your product and could be negatived and have no recourse.

It puts all the power in the hand of the buyer and from my experience most buyers are ignorant loud mouthed selfish greedy hateful non caring want something for nothing complainers that whine at the slightest thing. Most buyers are the problem on ebay, not the sellers. I had a woman once complain at how I packaged something. Not because the merchandise was dammaged or anything..but because, in her opinion, it "COULD" have been damaged. The sellers have enough bullshit from lousy customers as it is but to put all the power in the hands of the buyers is simply unacceptable

I will give you an admission right now...Ebay is jacking up their numbers by putting in "TEST" auctions. Not to mention the numbers I keep posting I do not trust to be accurate because they come from E-Gay I mean bay.

I will also say this...This may not be the great nuke that I hoped it would be because the general public is just stupid and doesn't know how to stand up for what is right, but, we have managed to walk over to their fox hole and slap them in the face and walk away. Time will tell. By the beginning of March we will know and hey...You gotta give me an "E" for effort. And we did manage to make cnn and chanel 9 news out of CO.

Dude, we couldn't sit and do nothing and just bend over and take it, we had to do something. If it fails...hey, we atleast tried to do the charge of the light bregade. I would rather go down swinging than just go down.

I can't believe that! Oh I would be so pissed if I were still selling. They're insane! They hold the money for 20 days?!?! And you still have to send it to the person? You can't leave negative feedback? Are they out of their minds?
I'd be on strike too. I'd probably leave.
I think they know that you guys have built up your ratings and so in a way it's hard to start over at a new site. They think they have you by the cahones.
That is just the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time. I'm glad that I got out when I did.
So what other sites are people moving to now?
And yeah, I was trying to sell polymer clay beads on there. At first back in about 03 or 04 I did Ok. Then I tried again in 06 and it was just impossible! People really do want something for nothing. They wanted me to sell my beads for less than what I paid for the actual clay.
And people just ask the weirdest questions. I did have better luck selling clothes on there, but with all these changes I wouldn't do it anymore through ebay. damn.
