Eric Cantor lost his seat

The scary part is people voted for a member of the Cop Killer Party.

There is no such organization.

Yes, there is. It's what the Tea Party has evolved into. Enlisting the fanatics and low thinkers divide and concur the middle class to promote the rich. Why do you think the Koch Brothers are their main contributor? The CATO Institute - Koch Brothers.

Tea Party members are nothing but teabaggers - Blinded by their own scrotum.

Anything that fractures the GOP is a net gain for the Democrats. Whatever it is, it's one of the best things to happen to the Dems because it forces the opposition further to the right and away from the middle where elections are won.

Yeah...because the last three middle-of-the-road GOP dudes that ran for president won...wait, no...the last three wishy-washy moderates the GOP ran got pasted!

Oh you poor soul.

Not sure who the 3rd was.

Nobody was going to beat the Democrats in 2008; Bush had poisoned the atmosphere so much with needless wars and a $700B bailout of banks...

In 2012, Mitt Romney was not going to beat anyone; not because he was a moderate but because he was Mitt Romney and he couldn't be trusted by anyone.

Jon Huntsmann would have given Obama fits.

The reason Romney and Palin were placed by the GOP.......They didn't want the White House because they owned Congress.

OnePercenter. That is a misnomer, you aren't part of the 1%, The only 1% you are a part of is the left side of the IQ bell curve.

Democrat Party Hacks, GOP Party Hacks, all need to be sterilized. Put a national healthcare system to some actual use.

Umm....wait....what!?!

Goofy bastard, aren't you?

Stay on those wackos who think government is taxing and spending too much, Jake. What a bunch of nuts...

If Republicans keep being indistinguishable from Democrats, what is the point in having a separate party exactly?

Only if the people like your policies, which they don't.

It's like building a really shitty old school theme park next to Disney World instead of a competing, innovative one, and saying "if we're going to be just like Disney, what is the point of having a separate theme park?".

Government is like Disney World, LOL. Talk about living in a fantasy world...

Your fantasy is that you believe our GOP is offering a good alternative to the Dems.

We aren't, and if we don't change, we will keep losing.

:wtf:

Um...as you know...I'm a libertarian. That post was even about my being a libertarian. Are you drunk?

.

Looks like Kevin McCarthy may be the heir apparent to replace Cantor as majority leader.

He's not pure enough, is he?

.

A California Republican? There is no way in hell a California Republican is pure enough.

Several groups placed McCarthy's voting record well to the left of Cantor's for 2013. The American Conservative Union rated McCarthy at 72 percent compared with 84 percent for Cantor; Heritage Action ratings place Cantor at 53 percent and McCarthy at 42 percent; and Club for Growth had Cantor at 68 percent and McCarthy at 53 percent. Moving away from conservative groups, the National Journal rated Cantor the 80th most conservative member of the House while McCarthy was 170th.

The absurdity of electing Kevin McCarthy to replace Eric Cantor as House majority leader

The election of Dave Brat is being grossly misinterpreted:

-Dave Brat had very little money for his campaign and wasn't able to mount a large scale media campiagn.

-The vast majority of voters did not know who Dave Brat was, what he stood for and had no strong feelings about him either way.

-Eric Cantor is a well known national figure - one of the primary leaders of the Tea Party.

-People DID NOT vote for Dave Brat, they voted AGAINST Eric Cantor.

In other words since they didn't know who Dave Brat was, they intended to vote against the Tea Party and put a stop to Eric Cantor's nonsense. The fact that Brat is more conservative than Cantor is incidental.

One of the primary national leaders of the Tea Party was ousted by his own constituency and replaced by an unknown. That's all there is to it.

Must I ask again?

Where you get this "we" shit, Democrat?

That's ridiculous

this boiled down to amnesty. The tea party didn't fund this guy because even they didn't think he could win. Cantor pushed amnesty stupididly thinking like a democrat and lost because NO REPUBLICAN VOTER wants it.

Really? A years long wait list and repaying back taxes is "amnesty"? No...when you go to kiss your Reagan love doll tonight, think about what St Ronnie did...THAT was amnesty.
