Dear RWNJ there is nothing wrong with Gays defending Muslims or
Muslims defending Gays, where people either Gay or Muslim deserve
equal right to exercise their personal BELIEFS under Constitutional laws and equal protection.

On that note, no I would not recommend either defending
ANY extreme intolerant practice of EITHER "LGBT beliefs" or "Islamic beliefs"
that encourages or enables ANYONE to violate equal rights of other people to practice,
express and espouse their own beliefs within the bounds of civil laws.

The problem RWNJ is that while liberals claims to be tolerant
and defending minority voices and interests, when anyone left or right pushes their beliefs
through govt they violate the same principles as when "religious right" mix church and state.

When you have Islamic political religions mixing church and state,
and you have Liberal and LGBT political beliefs pushing into govt through media,
this TRIPLES the previous issue of Christians pushing rightwing beliefs through govt.

This is obviously making it worse.

Instead of whole groups attacking each other's whole groups,
the most effective way I know to address this train wreck is
to pull people out of it. Get people on safe ground where they
aren't fighting and scrambling to divert from hitting another oncoming train.

When we can address each other as individuals, our beliefs are no
longer a threat to each other, as when you have mass groups
attacking one to defend another. Get people out of that political catfight,
and NONE of people's beliefs have to be any kind of threat.

Just agree to keep our personal beliefs out of govt, we can manage
them in our own respective groups and get along peaceably.

So there is NOTHING WRONG with defending each person's right
to defend, practice and express their own beliefs within their own
groups and contexts, but it IS WRONGFUL to abuse govt to impose that on
any other person or group where it amounts to abuse, discrimination and harassment.

and its probably best that Gays become totally trusting and loving and put their guards down and disregard the stonings and beheading, and flying lessons that they SEE being done in islam controlled areas in 'muslim' lands RWNJ . [understand , wink , wink]

Leviticus is the OT.... not the NT. It also says they shouldn't eat pork and should follow the laws of kashrut.

it also says that if you mix fibers you can be stoned to death.

funny how Leviticus only matters when it comes to gays. jesus never said anything about gays. he said a heck of a lot about taking care of the poor, though.

Also Sunni Man, the liberals I know can't understand Constitutional arguments as presented
by Conservative Christians. The best bet for understanding and enforcing Constitutional standards
among liberal audiences is through the Black and Muslim leadership whom liberals respect
and can receive this from. If they aren't getting it from one group, this needs to be represented through another.
So it looks like the respect for Blacks and Muslims is where the Constitutional laws have a chance to
be taught and embraced equally among liberals as the Christians and Constitutionalists do for the rightwing side of the spectrum.
