Why can't anyone just outright defend anything Obama does? Instead we always get, "Well, Billy, Romney or Ronnie did it, too."

This is called a red herring, offered when someone knows they cannot effectively address the point someone else made.
This only supports the position that anti-gun loons can only argue from emotion, ignorance and or disgonesty.

Just because the libs think it sounds good and gives people a false sense of security is no reason to pass more legislation that doesn't work.

Only the useful idiots think this; their masters believe that the state should have a monopoly on force and understand that an armed citizenry gets in the way of that.
