Criminals don't use machine guns now because they don't need them and they are hard to get. It's the same thing.

You know machining a 30 round magazine is like machine tool 101 right? Even if you made them illegal criminals could make them, crazy people could more easily make them, because the buggers are so dedicated to whatever mayhem they propose to do.

And if you make them they are much more likely to jam. Magazines made by the manufacturer often jam as it is. Made in the garage would jam a lot.

great magazine. I really like another plastic mag called TROY. AIM SURPLUS near my home couldn't get Magpuls for a while but I got a case of TROYS. they work equally as well though I really like the 20 round Magpuls

I live down in Rio Grande County. I own four guns and that's probably under the average for households here in our nearly all rural ranch & farm community (pop: 14,000). It takes about half an hour to get a CC permit. There're four heavy machine-guns in private hands. Our shooting range about a mile and a half down the 160 stays real busy. We're mainly a community of whites, old Santa Fe Hispanics, and Navajos/Apaches. We don't shoot each other here. We don't kill one another. We're very polite. Probably because we're civilized and we have the good sense to prepare ourselves to protect ourselves. It's a great place to live.
