Robby Mook is a great choice. He's the guy who put together the 2013 Democratic sweep in Virginia, with an unpopular candidate (McAuliffe) in an off-off-year, things that should have doomed Democrats. Mook did it by having Democrats run as proud liberals, which brought out the base to vote. In contrast, the Warner campaign in 2014, with a much more popular candidate, shifted to a "ignore the Democratic base and run to the right" strategy, and only barely squeaked out a win.

And Mark Penn is nowhere to be seen. Good riddance. I think he's off destroying Microsoft now (by working for them.)
