Nailing the lid shut to bipartisanship for the next two years perhaps was done today. Nothing else.

The GOP supermajority in the midterms can just reverse the impeachment

Nope. He's impeached --- twice. That will be true forever. The exposure of his guilt will prevent him from having enough votes to be elected to any high office, no matter how the unethical republicans vote.

Most of the people who have been arrested so far didn’t even vote in the federal election. They don’t give a rats ass who won or lost. They were just there for the fight.

The less organized elements of the mob were simply there because they thought they could break shit and get away with it. They could beat up liberals and destroy property and nothing would happen to them because, hey, Trump invited them.

Notice how many of them beat on the cops, telling the police that the cops had no right to stop them. They thought they had a freebie to behave like animals and they did.
