We have been asking and no one seems to know, including Bragg, as to the "other crime".
They are identified in the Statement of Facts that were filed with the court at the same time as the indictment.

Those talking heads on TV have argued and won more cases than you have taken a shit in your lifetime! Where and when did you get your law degree?![]()
And our judicial system isn't run by talking heads on T.V.
Funny that Trump was sitting in court for "no case".
WW
WW, I am sorry but on this point you are dead wrong. The FEC and DOJ both declined to prosecute this as a campaign finance violation.
Those talking heads on TV have argued and won more cases than you have taken a shit in your lifetime! Where and when did you get your law degree?
So what is the crime that was covered up by his business record entries? So?
The New York charges are not based on Trump violating campaign finance laws, the charges are based on Trump violating New York State business laws.
WW
Cohen pleaded guilty to a charge that could not be proven. He is a fucking moron!Cohen was charged and was guilty of campaign finance violations.
WW
NY state law says he doesn’t .Yes, he is, Read your 5th Amendment.
There certainly is. It’s spelled out in the indictment. Are you simple bless your heart? The feds chose NOT to prosecute because there was no crime, dumbass!
Out of ignorance? Yea. You run with that counselorCohen pleaded guilty to a campaign law violation out of ignorance. There is no way he would be convicted because Trump used personal funds.
So what is the crime that was covered up by his business record entries?
Cohen pleaded guilty and did not defend his case. The campaign finance violation issue was that the money paid was NOT illegal. He is a moron.Sigh…we have been over this a dozen times.
The crimes that put Cohen in jail
The FEC said no such thing. You keep repeating that. It didn’t happen. Thanks for the explanation. We're going around in circles.
The FEC already said that there was no campaign finance violation.
Bragg and the democrats keep saying there was.
I'm done too. The Masters is on. Have a great day.
Cohen pleaded guilty to a charge that could not be proven. He is a fucking moron!
Read my post #311.Cohen's campaign finance violations for which he was convicted.
WW
He pled guilty because he WAS guiltyCohen pleaded guilty and did not defend his case. The campaign finance violation issue was that the money paid was NOT illegal. He is a moron.
Cohen was charged with not reporting $4 million in income and claiming as a campaign contribution the hush money he paid to two women.Cohen was charged and was guilty of campaign finance violations.
WW
The FEC said it was NOT a campaign finance law violation. Why do you keep ignoring that fact?
The evidence was there and well documented, he even turned over audio recordings of Trump being involved.
Conviction was pretty much a given.
That's why it was to his advantage to take the plea deal and not face the full prison term.
WW
Not mentioning the crime (that YOU MENTIONED) is not required under NY State law.Cohen was charged with not reporting $4 million in income and claiming as a campaign contribution the hush money he paid to two women.
Trump is charged with trying to cover up a crime and 34 document errors.
But the big problem with this is there is no crime mentioned in the indictment. All that is mentioned is the same crime 34 times with 34 nearly identical paragraphs. The indictment was an absolute joke.
By law you have to mention the crime. It doesn't matter if Alvin Bragg feels he doesn't have to mention the crime, but he does.
Falsification of financial business records is fraud.
Voters due to inaccurate information because of the illegal campaign finance law violations to hide information from the public. This was one of the charges against Cohen, and this is what the prosecutors will attempt to show the jury as the basis of the First Degree (felony) charge.
And very likely New York State Taxpayers since the payments were made by the Trump Organization CFO (Allen Weisselberg [Sp?]) and expensed as "legal fees". Legal fees are a tax deductible items, lowering profit, meaning less tax. Tax fraud.
WW
There simply were no felonies committed. Embrace the concept, lest you appear to be an intentional dumbass!Same way they do in other criminal trials, in this case it appears:
- Personal testimony by Allen Weissenberg (Sp?) Chief Financial Officer for the Trump Organization
- Personal testimony by David Pecker (AMI Media?) owner of the National Enquirer involved in the "catch-n-kill" process
- Personal testimony by Michael Cohen Trump personal attorney at the time
- Probably testimony by others involved (staff, assistants, accountants, etc.)
- Audio recordings that Cohen made of Trump
- Texts
- Emails
- Travel documents
- Phone records
- Invoices
- Checks
- Business ledger entries
- Contemporaneous notes
- etc.
We won't begin to know the specifics of that until further court filings are made such as Motions to Dismiss, Prosecution rebuttals to the dismissal, Motions to Suppress Evidence, and Prosecution rebuttals to suppression motions.
