I've got super cruise and love it. It won't drive to your destination but it will drive itself on the freeways and that's good enough for me. It's quite impressive.

That's an old video, apparently. And Volvo said that car didn't have a pedestrian braking system (although that can be taken with a grain of salt). Still, they probably have improved things in the 8 or 9 years since that incident.

Yeah, it sounds like a pretty stupid cash grab...we charge more for the braking system to see people!

It can not be trusted for a second.
The software has glitches, the sensors can be confused, the mechanical servos it requires can easily jam and cause fatal incidents.

We have one of those braking systems on our Toyota Avalon. Don’t know if it works and not about to try it out.
