The snowflakes in the "Is Islam Right About Women" thread complained that they can not vote, because the poll unfairly targeted only one religion. Particularly the big boogeyman Christianity was left out.

So at a popular leftist request, here it is. A thread regarding Christianity.

My personal opinion is that Christianity treats women extremely well. In no Christian nation are women treated poorly or neglected. In fact I am quite certain that Christian nations treat women better than they are treated anywhere else. Devout Christian women are among the happiest, fulfilling the most important part of human life, procreation and caring for our children. Very important, decent and productive people.

you asked "is christianity RIGHT about women" then you changed it to "christianity treats women extremely well"

2 different points.

Christianity treats women better than islam but not as well as secular atheists tend to.

Christianity specifically declares women should be subservient to their husbands. There is an organization of evangelical women called PROMISES KEPT that STRESSES the subservience part of the christian bible. They KNOW their place!

and THAT is wrong.

The thread is about how Christians treat women, not about hypothetical abstract notions where you get to insert any nonsense you desire. The actual truth of the matter, and nothing else.

"The thread is about how Christians treat women,"

the thread is "is christianity RIGHT about women"

NOT "how do christians treat women"

it's right in the title.

everything else is just your BS

I think I know what my thread is about. Did you read the opening?

As I suspected, not relevant facts, only more screeching.

I disagree.
Women could not vote in the US until 1920.
They were not allowed into colleges that would lead to professions like being doctors.
They were not given the same legal or inheritance rights.
They used to be burned at the stake by the Christian Church, as witches.
They only recently have been allowed to become priests.

In comparison, the whole point of Islam was to reform Judaism so that women had rights.
Mohammad created Islam as a way of showing his appreciation for what the merchant widow he married, gave to him.

I haven't seen in my lifetime where christianity has much of anything right, so no.

Says the dumb bitch luxuriating in a free country which grants her equal rights and legal status to a man, whining about how "abused" she is in complete ignorance of women being jailed, maimed, and killed in other countries just for going to school.

No Christianity does not have it right about women. Christianity spends way too much time and effort on controlling women's sexuality, and enforcing gender roles, instead of teaching men to respect women. All too often Christianity tells women to tolerate beatings and abuse by their husbands. A Christian "family values" website defines "adultery" as sex between a man and a woman who is married or engaged. If the man is married and the woman is single, there is no adultery.

The evangelical right has a morbid fascination with clinical virginity, that is emotionally unhealthy for young women - basically telling them that if they're not a virgin at marriage, they have no value. This message was around when I was growing up, but chastity ceremonies where teen girls pledge to their fathers to remain virgins until they marry, are downright creepy. It's also lead to a huge increase in oral and anal sex among high school girls in Christian communities. The law of unintended consequences. When I was growing up, even the "easy" girls who didn't care about their reputations, would never have done anything as disgusting as anal sex.

Many Christian sects restrict women's roles in leadership, both as a pastor, and in other leadership roles, and believe that women should be subjugated to men. They believe that using birth control is a "sin" and that all sex must be allowed to lead to procreation, making women slave to their biology. This is no different than Muslims.

I just heard, "Christianity is bad because it doesn't tell me being a slut is okay!"

None of the major religions have it right about women because they all make women 2nd class citizens under the control of men.

Which Christian nation would this be?

There is no such thing as a Christian nation.

Is there such a thing as a Jewish nation? (Hint: You wouldn't want to be anti-Semitic).

Of course there are Christian nations. That would be half of Europe, especially nations like Vatican. Unlike the USA, European nations have official religion, and that religion is Christianity. Get educated.

Unless there is only one religion in existence in the nation, then any nation that gives preferential treatment of one religion over any other is inherently unfair and abusive, even if their laws do not make it illegal.

There should never be any association between religion and state.
A state is about compromises between rights to that the least amount of infringement occurs.
Religion is instead about personal value aspirations, and has nothing to do with anyone else.

Most people could not vote in the USA. That is a total non-argument, because USA is not a democracy. No one has any inherent right to vote. Who has the right to vote is determined by what is good for the REPUBLIC. It doesn't seem like the extension of voting rights have done us much good. Further voting is disconnected from bad treatment.

Stupid people used to be punished, it was not a woman specific thing. Maybe that should be brought back, you would not last long.

Women got to sit at home all day while men worked 16 hours a day in mines? Not so sure that this is horrible treatment.

The Bible is not kind to women.

Ancient, more barbaric times and civilizations weren't kind to women.

Not so ancient.
A lynch mob in the US burned a women to death for being a witch as late as 1840.

{... Leah Smock was born in 1818 near Battletown, KY. Leah was one of the many abandoned children who roamed the woods of early Kentucky living by the kindness of neighbors and their own wits. Leah seemed to have special powers to see the future and correctly predicted the deaths of many who lived in the community. Neighbors came to fear her and she became known as a witch. She was eventually burned to death in a shed at the age of 22 in August, 1840. Her grave in the Elizabeth Daily cemetery near Battletown is piled with stones, as if her power was feared even in death. ...}

Apologies, I forgot that back then women actually fulfilled their duty and had children, instead of shuffling paper 8 hours a day to pay for immigration/someone else's children.

So yes, good work. You would not be here without those women... well perhaps all of it wasn't good work.

First of all, it is not Christianity that gives women rights in the US.
And second is that there is no country were "women are being jailed, maimed, and killed in other countries just for going to school."
That is foolish propaganda.
Islam requires that all people learn to read and go to school.
Eastern Muslims just are against western missionary schools being opened up by Christians in their country.

It is only Christianity that has a missionary complex.

Sounds like you already joined the death cult.

Have fun, just stay the fuck away from Western civilization, also known as civilization.
