Regulating it like we do clean waterLet's see - government taking over media in the name of free speech. Man, the Soviets had nuthin on us!I would hope when this happens that lawmakers don’t fold to succumb to their terms and conditions. Let free speech rein!![]()
Does Twitter need to become a public utility?
(RNS) — If Twitter really wants to be a neutral space for debate, it can't choose between Silicon Valley's progressive ideology and the religious commitments of Pope Francis.religionnews.com
Facebook and Twitter don’t worry you will still make money allowing your sites become public utilities we can all express our political feelings. let’s get it done!
No, you are just confiscating private property (whether the private owners make money is irrelevant). You have free speech. What you are demanding is free access to a privately owned property to use as a platform for your speech. And you want it for free.
And the owners want to decide what gets posted there. They have invested a lot of money and countless hours of their valuable time. You signed up for free and now demand to have an equal say in how the place is run? No.
If your followers love you, they will find a way to listen to you. You don't get to co-opt someone else's private property to do so.
They are private property.
