That's crazy. That is just crazy."

Donald Trump has expressed support for deporting immigrants living in the country illegally.

"We got people proposing healthcare reform that's going to leave, I believe, millions of people without adequate health insurance," Kasich says. "What has happened to our party? What has happened the conservative movement?"

I think it was stand up stuff and I applaud him for doing what he did. I have a lot more respect for him now. The good thing about The Donald, he's making everybody come clean.

But now that he questions or even thinks too hard about hard right policy....he's a communist.

The fringe right has a binary reasoning scheme. Either you accept ONLY what they believe. Or you're a communist.

While he served in the House he helped pass a budget WITH A SURPLUS

He has been an effective and popular governor of Ohio, an important electoral state.

He has experience working with his political opposition, blasting through divisive partisanship.

He has a calm, professional demeanor which suggests statesmanship as opposed to bombast.

Had the crackpots in the GOP decided not to purge the ideologically unworthy, Kasich may be leading in all polls among all candidates.

I still think her best bet for VP is Rep. from Texas Castro.

Fully agree...Castro (I believe its Julian) would wholly mitigate any of the advantage that Latinos such as a Rubio or Cruz offers to the GOP ticket.

It is Julian, he has a twin brother and along with their mom will not only bring along the Latino Vote but the votes of all Americans since they speak form the heart, not echoing the spark notes of right wing / arch conservative demagoguery.

Rubio could genuinely bring in the hispanic vote. But not Cruz. Latino's don't give a fiddler's fuck about that guy. Rubio has actually made some inroads into the hispanic community.

I don't think it's a matter of "caring" for those who believe three trillion in govt receipts is "enough." Rather, it's a reality that it is not enough given the govt a supermajority of Americans want. Do you wish to deal with the reality or dream of returning to the days before FDR and LBJ?

Clinton balanced the budget and it should have stayed balanced. Paying lots of interest is not good. We could have what people want and still be balanced.

I think your reaction is far more telling about what is wrong with the conservative movement than anything Kasich said. Among the fringe conservatives -who apparently have a significant voice in the republican primaries- not abolishing medicaid and medicare is 'socialist/communist'.

That perception speaks for itself.

Most real conservatives think they have no right to SS Medicare/Medicaid, and don't want to be a drag on the country.
