Kids Taught to Praise Obama

Why can't the left at least admit that this may have been an overzealous teacher who made a mistake?
And that the President had absolutely nothing to do with it.

What is political about teaching 6 year olds a song about their President?

Kids should be proud of their country. The President is the symbol of this country. What is wrong with teaching kids to love their country?

Back in my day we just sand Grand Old Flag, Star Spangled Banner, My Country Tis of Thee and it was fine.

I guess those are obsolete now?

Yeah, those are so ancient...

1/20/2009 changed everything...

Praise songs to our glorious leader are acceptable and encouraged...

I expect they'll be classes for credit offered soon so our children can learn more about the 0ssiah...

Back when I was 6 we were taught to respect the President. I don't remember songs but I remember reciting paragraphs about John Fitzgerald Kennedy

As part of Black History Month, singing a song about the first black President is not political. Why did they wait seven months to be outraged about this clip?

Was it because they were humiliated with their "Obama can't speak to students" protests?

i never got taught praise songs about JFK, LBJ, Richard M Nixon, or Gerald R Ford.
but then, i was not in grammar school for Ford or Carter, and out of school completely by Reagan

who has claimed POTUS had anything to do with it?

You, for one:

I read that the principal stated that the song was made during black history month. Big deal. He also stated that no one had the authority to plaster it all over the media.

I found this really interesting, FOX reported that the principal received death threats and the school went into lock down over this...but then FOX deleted its report that there were any death threats.

It sounds to me that FOX is blowing this way out of proportion and using small children for political tools. Bastards.

The Raw Story » Fox News altered ‘Obama praise’ story to exclude ‘death threats’
and ravi goes off the deep end in support of obama AGAIN

Support of Obama???

You don't get it. The kids don't have a choice but to go to school and endure this indoctrination. Parents don't have a choice but to send them (regardless of whether they voted for or agree with the president's policies or attitudes). The school stepped over the line and there's no excuse for it.

Indoctrination?

Show what was indoctrinated into these children?

They are not singing a song about Hitler, they are singing a song about the first black President of the United States

Can anyone complaining about this point to a specific word or phrase in the song that is offensive?

Well, first the song suggest that people should be compelled to volunteer to "make this country strong again." This is consistent with Obama's socialist agenda.

Next, the song suggests that, before Obama, there was no such thing as feminism. Okay, maybe that's a stretch, but this is an issue that divides Americans (something the left specializes in). The song is basically accusing employers in America of being sexist or racist in general and positioning Obama as the savior from this sad state of affairs.

Then,

"red, yellow, black or white,
all are equal in his sight"

Or maybe that should have been "all are equal in His sight." The children are being taught that Obama-a sitting president who is still eligible to serve another term-is the paragon of all of these values that no one who is at all representative of any electorate would disagree with.

Yes, it's indoctrination. Man, you've been hitting that kool-aid pretty hard, haven't ya?

Children should not be encouraged to "Make this country strong"???? thats Socialism??

"The song is basically accusing employers in America of being sexist or racist in general and positioning Obama as the savior from this sad state of affairs"

Here is what Obama did. When Obama was born, there were parts of the country where a black man having children with a white woman would lead to a lynching. For a mixed race child to grow up to be President is an accomplishment It speaks well for our country and it speaks well for Obama

"red, yellow, black or white,
all are equal in his sight"

Again teaching children about equality. Like I said above, the very election of Obama was a major step in equality. It does not teach children that other politicians are not colorblind, only that it is an admirable quality.

Obama is eligible for another term.....but I can assure you, these six year olds will not be eligible to vote for him

Look ...I understand the right wing is upset about all this. Given that I live in NJ her is what I propose we do.

When children sing about Making this country strong

Or they sing about all races being equal

We will give Bobby Jindall a call and he can provide the republican rebuttal and explain to children that none of this is in accordance with republican teachings
