For the first time in our lives we have a President who is putting the American worker first. Even when it will impact the profits of his family's business. Trump is obviously a patriot.
TPP, you're outta here! NAFTA, pay for your own country's welfare payments, Americans are tired of subsidizing your social welfare while adding it to our debt.
We are witnessing a renaissance which will include a tax plan giving companies incentives to bring money back, invest their expansion here, and bring economic prosperity to our families.
Trump is such a breath of fresh air, our self esteem is returning and the Socialist can't stop it.

Pulling the plug on TPP was imo a good start. TPP had a good intent of having each country's anti-free trade policies punished, but the way it did it was appoint unelected "experts" to weigh each country's practices. I don't like giving up our right to act unilaterally. For example, I don't think there's any dispute that Japan uses corp welfare to give Toyota a way to sell a car her for thousands less than it cost to make it in Japan, yet Japan closed it's consumer markets to many US mftred food stuff. Undoubtedly we give ag biz corp welfare too. But our auto market is open. And our crop and other ag production is cost efficient and cost competitive. It would be good to have a potus who would address that.
China also subsidizes production costs, and does not allow open markets.
The whole tariff thing is just juvenile though. For example, Fruit of the Loom makes underwear overseas because there's no need of skilled labor. A tariff just punishes American consumers, because Fruit of the Loom isn't going to shutter foreign factories that supply foreign markets to make underwear here that won't be cost competitive elsewhere. So, we'd be paying more for underwear than Fruit of the Loom charges in .... Europe. And if Trump puts a tariffs on BMWs made there .... Germany will retaliate.
It's a no win game. We need to alter tax policies to allow mftrs to make stuff as cheaply as possible, punish closed markets, and use tax policy so Americans have healthcare, education and retirement. Neither party really committed to doing that while remaining free traders.

Trump or anyone else, can manufacture wherever they want. The point is to level the playing field with a tariff. Then manufacturers can judge the best location to make their product.
