Look at it this way, if we default, these Democratic spending bills get passed and the economy starts to tank, they can try blaming it all on the Republicans and the debt ceiling though in reality will be the results of ridiculous spending and programs of the Biden Administration. The debt ceiling is just an artificial borrowing limit Congress imposed on itself....its intended purpose was dumb way back in 1917 and it is dumb now......

Not raising it means nothing more than the US defaulting on paying its bills for shit they already passed; much of it under a GOP administration...

and if the country does default and the credit rating takes a hit....as usual the GOP will use it to campaign on because they know their base -- folks like you-- are too dumb to know any better
