Media Surprised That Christians Schools Are . . . Christian

This is NOT the example of upholding the law and the Constitution you want to see from the wife of ANY senior government official, much less the one is a heartbeat away from the Presidency of a President who will not be President by the 2020 elections.
How are you expecting Mrs. Pence's practice of her religious beliefs to affect America and American citizens as a whole?

Again, she is portraying to the American public that she has no respect for the Constitution or the laws of the land, both of which he husband took an oath before God, to stand up for and uphold.

This is also one of those "dog whistle" messages to the base that it's OK to hate on gays. Mrs. Pence could have taken a teaching a job at any Christian school of her choosing. Who wouldn't want such the honour of having her on the faculty. That she CHOSE to teach at a school which does not qualify for federal funds on the basis of discrimination, really doesn't speak to the power of her husband's oath, now does it. And since the Pence's come from one of those sects where wives ask their husband's permission for everything, Mike Pence also supports her position.

Both are unacceptable in a high ranking official SWORN to uphold the Constitution. He's not sworn to uphold those parts of the Constitution he agrees with, he's sworn before God to uphold ALL of it.

What law is she violating, and what part of the Constitution is she violating?

No.

I don't know where the hell you have been, lady. However, this has been an uphill battle to get people to understand that they cannot discriminate and receive public funds. This has led to mass confusion intentionally and willfully created in multiple areas starting with the original Charitable Choice. She is doing exactly what we want her to do which is that you can call your own shots providing that you don't accept public funding.

MIKE AND KARNE PENCE ARE ACCEPTING FEDERAL FUNDING.

The Pence's live in a house owned by the American people. The food on her table is paid for by the American people. And she spits in their eye by deliberately signing on with a school which violates the oath her husband took, that puts that food on the table.

This isn't about a private citizen accepting a teach position in a private school which discriminates against gays. This is about the Wife of the Vice-President of the United States taking accepting an appointment to a teaching position, very publically, endorsing the policy of gay discrimination.

Hmm, so public servants are not allowed to also work for church schools that don't accept gay employees? You might want to inform those postal service employees who volunteer or work part time for their church run schools. Better let them know if they earn a paycheck from Uncle Sam they forfeit their first amendment rights. It'll be news to them.

The Constitution guarantees religious freedom. Which part of the Constitution is she violating/disrespecting?

she is violating the Religion of Antiquity as prescribed by the Almighty and latter confirmed in the 1st century - of inclusion.

your "private" school is not the message of the 1st century, it is your concoction created by you of exclusivity. yours is no different than judaism than you have made your own messiah an aberration that has never existed to be used for your own purposes. a political organization disguised as a religion.

the Constitution's guarantee is for religious freedom, secularly not for private institutions that are autocratic.

No politician is required to renounce his or her religion in order to serve in office. Absolutely no family member of a politician is required to renounce a religion.

Democrats will never stop attacking the Pence family religion because democrats can't hang a rape accusation against Mike Pence.

No one asked the Pence's to "renounce their religion". We're saying that she shouldn't be working for a school which violates people's constitutional rights, and which is only legal because is't a private institution which accepts no public funds.

So what you and the mouse in your pocket are saying is, "Believe whatever you want . . . but don't you dare act on it or in any way let anyone know about it!"

Yeah, nothing wrong with that.

And Constitution? Really? Please cite me the portion of the Constitution that says, "Private entities must accept any student or employee that demands it, and cannot set any standards for operation". I must have missed that part.

I'm just laughing at "Violates the Constitution, but is legal". Seriously, whatever drugs you're on, your doctor needs to change your dose before you lose more brain cells.

Mike and KAREN (what the hell? Are you typing in boxing gloves?) Pence are not "accepting federal funding". He gets a PAYCHECK because he's an EMPLOYEE of the government. Are you seriously going to try to say that all federal employees forfeit their First Amendment rights, and their spouses - who aren't employed by the government at all - are required to work at Dragonbreath-approved employers? Or is it just elected federal employees whose lives you feel the right to dictate? Exactly where IS the dividing line when you will "generously grant" people the right to be religous without you pitching a hissy fit about how "outraged" and "abused" you feel by their refusal to accept that your "morality" is the only morality?

This isn't about a private citizen accepting a teaching position. You're right about that much. This is about YOU making excuses for why you have the right to control people's lives. There's always SOME lame explanation for why this person, and then that person, and then the next person should be required to live as you think they should, until you get your ideal world in which you are dictating the thoughts of everyone.

You are absolutely right.

If any private school wants to teach that gays are perverts and an abomiantion
or that muslims are all terrorists
or that atheists are all devil worshipping god haters
or that christians are dominionist theocrats who want to take away everyones rights

that school has every right to do so. (that IS what you are saying, right?)

And if the wife of a US president wants to work for a private school that teaches
that gays are perverts and an abomination
or that muslims are all terrorists
or that atheists are all devil worshiping god haters
or that christians are the enemies of allah

then she has every right to do so and nobody should judge her.

So if Michelle Obama worked for an islamic school that taught that christians were all enemies of allah you would have NO problem with it.

right?

or is that different?

is it ok for a christian school to promote hatred and intolerance against gays or atheists and muslims but it would be BAD if any school did the same thing to christians?

Please provide the curriculum that demonstrates/proves this is being taught. What we who attended private Christian schools know is that we are taught to abstain from sex before marriage. We were not taught to hate. We were taught not to judge. I would be fine with Mrs. Obama choosing to work at an Islamic private school--or Mrs. Trump for that matter.

The fact that you keep accusing me of things that aren't true just because I have a more rational opinion than you worries me.

Do you always accuse people of throwing "temper tantrums" when they try to debate with you?

when you accuse people of "throwing temper tantrums" are YOU throwing a temper tantrum?

It seems, so far from what I've read from you, that you accuse ANYONE who doesn't shout "I love the CHRISTIAN GOD! of being a christian hater.

This is not just irrational and illogical but seemingly dangerous.

I know MANY christians who I do NOT hate.
I'll go so far as to say that I don't hate christians at all, I hate right wing conservatives who are trying to impose their religious beliefs me.

There are many liberal christians who also speak out against evangelical extremists.

do you think THEY hate chrisitans, too?

You seem incapable of civil debate.

Your first reaction tends to be "ATTACK! MOCK! RIDICULE! INSULT! and then demand respect!"

and you have questioned my maturity.

So far the only person showing a great lack of maturity and hatred is you.

Now accuse me of something.....it is what you do best.....

You're really delusional. I "accused" you of being a bigot and asking questions the way a child throwing a temper tantrum does. Let's take a look at your post.

"You are absolutely right.

If any private school wants to teach that gays are perverts and an abomiantion
or that muslims are all terrorists
or that atheists are all devil worshipping god haters
or that christians are dominionist theocrats who want to take away everyones rights

that school has every right to do so. (that IS what you are saying, right?)"

I'm absolutely right about that, am I? Perhaps you can show me where I ever said any of that tripe, that I'm now "right" about it.

I have a 10-year-old who gets all upset and emotional when he gets corrected or disciplined, and his response is inevitably along the lines of, "So I guess I just never get to [fill in the blank] again", "So you just want me to never have friends or play games", or similar hyperbolic overreaction. Sounds remarkably like your post. The difference is, he's ten, and is expected to be emotional and illogical. You, presumably, are older than ten.

Now you come back and say, "The fact that you keep accusing me of things that aren't true just because I have a more rational opinion than you worries me."

I think it's pretty obvious to anyone who isn't you that you did exactly what I "accused" you of. Your opinion is "more rational", is it? So you're really going to stand by attributing "gays are perverts and an abomiantion, or that muslims are all terrorists, or that atheists are all devil worshipping god haters" to a school you know nothing about as a "rational opinion", are you?

"Do you always accuse people of throwing "temper tantrums" when they try to debate with you?"

No, and I didn't accuse you of throwing a temper tantrum, either. I accused you of asking questions the way a child who is throwing a temper tantrum does.

The real question is, do YOU really think "If any private school wants to teach that gays are perverts and an abomiantion, or that muslims are all terrorists, or that atheists are all devil worshipping god haters, or that christians are dominionist theocrats who want to take away everyones rights" qualifies as DEBATE? You honestly classify that post as debating?

"It seems, so far from what I've read from you, that you accuse ANYONE who doesn't shout "I love the CHRISTIAN GOD! of being a christian hater."

Yes, that's a TOTALLY rational assumption to make. Because this thread has been FULL of people who are just calmly and mildly saying, "I don't agree with Christianity", and I've been shouting, "Christ hater!" out of nowhere with no provocation. Like you, for example.

We could go on with this, but I think I've made my point. One of us is overreacting like a spoiled, irrational child, and it's not me.

One final thing: I haven't demanded anyone's respect at all. I realize this will be hard for you to understand, but I wouldn't take the respect of someone who acts like you, because I don't respect you enough to value your approval as anything but an insult.

Btw, Karen Pence isn't the wife of a US President, Mr. Rational; her husband is the VICE President. Kinda hard to convince people you're the grown-up in the room when you can't even talk straight.

Media Surprised That Christians Schools Are . . . Christian

Now accuse me of something.....it is what you do best.....

that is their motivation - posting a troll thread. to scream and rant about their forged 10,000 page political christian bible they disguise as a religion -

and seek protection using the 1st amendment as a foil to accomplish their selfish goals.
