Stoltenberg said the Nato is considering bringing their nuclear arms into combat readiness. Is it for the official reasons (growing nuclear capacities of adversaries) or is it maybe about their fear that Ukraine´s manpower could soon be depleted?

There is a nuclear pay wall in the Telegraph but you can get all the details here, too:

It's an answer to Russia bringing the nuclear threat close to Florida.

Putin has also threatened to bring his nukes to his friendly countries in the West. He's designed it all for the purpose of bringing reality to the American people.

And it's probably also meant for Trump to capitalize on the effect of Biden's war coming so close to home to roost.

I am not sure. Read the Ukrainian article. They are even modernizing the centuries old gravity bombs they have in Europe. That looks like desperation to me.

Being ready for nuclear war has been a thing for NATO since it’s inception

Don't be stupid (Russian, MAGA). If admin though there was any problem, the SOS and Green Beanies and a brigade of the 82d AB would land on the Cubans 12 minutes ago.

It is Russian propaganda that is constantly pushing nuclear rhetoric. Russia placed its tactical nukes in Belarus. And it is NATO that goes nuclear? NATO shows great restraint in this regard, actually.

Russia announced a new "nuclear doctrine". It is not yet finished. No details were offered.

"Nuclear powers are increasingly developing their arsenals as the geopolitical situation deteriorates, according to a report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

"The nine nuclear-armed states - the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) and Israel - continued to modernize their nuclear arsenals and several deployed new nuclear-armed or nuclear-capable weapon systems in 2023," the report said. One of SIPRI's key findings is that the number and types of weapons are increasing as countries rely more and more on nuclear deterrence.

In January 2024, there were some 12,121 nuclear warheads in the world, of which 9,585 were on alert. According to the report, 3,904 of these were deployed on missiles or aircraft, a 60% increase over estimates for the previous January. About 2,100 deployed warheads were on high alert on ballistic missiles. According to the research institute, almost all of the warheads belonged to Russia or the United States, but China is believed to have placed some of them on high alert for the first time.

India, Pakistan, and North Korea, in turn, are looking for a way to put multiple warheads on ballistic missiles. The United Kingdom, China, Russia, the United States and France already have such capabilities, according to the institute."

NATO (except for the USA) almost don't have nukes.

FR and the UK do, with subs that can launch IBM nukes. If Russia attacks, St. Petersburg and Moscow will disappear.
No. If Russia attacks, French and British bases with those submarines disappear. Highly likely, at least one more submarine in sea will disappear, too. And one submarine's salvo can't overwhelm ABD of Moscow. May be, if they launch everything against St. Petersburg, few of those warheads will be able to hit the target and destroy some blocks in it and kill few hundred thousand people.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. Cities are expendables. Napoleon burn Moscow, and lost the war. As Colonel Skalozub said - "The fire served a lot to its decoration".

Russia does not have the first strike capability to take out the French and British subs before they disappear Moscow and St. Petersburg. And that does even address the US capacity that will melt all of Russia.

You are nothing more than a kitten in a corner hissing at the Great Danes that will, without a doubt, eat you in one gulp.

The WEF Candidates the world over are sucking Alaskan moosecock: Canada, USA, France, Britain, Ukraine, etc.

WWII is a small price to pay to keep them competitive

Stoltenberg was fooling us, the nukes are already on alert. And that means the reason he cited cannot be true, either.
Nato wants Europe to saber rattle with nukes, another reason is not in sight.
As I said before it is possibly a US plan to make Europe and Russia weaken in each other to get rid of two possible new world powers.
That is what the conflict is all about.
