No One Has a Right to Health Care

Its a right as long as you can pay for it.

and yet every other civilized country makes sure that it's people receive health care.

in this country people pay for it and then get canceled as soon as they need it.

Good for them. In this country your supposed to take care of your own responsibilities. Unless your a freeloader that is.

you're not listening, are you?

:cuckoo:

Listen to what.. you're talking shit.. as usual. Rights <> Free Shit.

Its a right as long as you can pay for it.

So people with end-stage renal disease like the poster in Post #224 should just die?

Babies born with heart defects should just die?

Who else would you pass judgment on?

Their problems are their own. They aren't my responsibility or the taxpayers of America's responsibility.

Its not passing judgment moron. Its stating a fact.

People are responsible for themselves.

but your fraudulent wars ARE our responsibility?

meh....

:cuckoo:

Oooh.... nice deflection. You must be a great lawyer... i bet that flies well in court.

:lmao:

If every other civilized country decided the moon was made out of cheese, it doesn't make it true.

Free health care is not a right. Free health care is a gift taken by force from someone else.

My fraudulent wars?? And what wars would those be?

Surely not the wars approved by Congress?

You know. The wars both parties set in motion.

Of course Americans have a right to healthcare

The alternative is......let em die
Thats what I like about you, Nutjobber. It's the constant fallacy in your posts. In this cae the fallacy of false dichotomy. The alternative to gov't provided healthcare is privately provided healthcare. Not letting them die.
And to those who can't afford private insurance?

Let em die....right Rabbi?
You're so stupid, Nutjobber. Maybe you should die?

Am I opposed to free health care for certain individuals? Nope. I am all for it. But I am not going to start from a position that free health care is a right. That's one slippery slope that is all too real.

You show me a kid with cerebral palsy with a single mother whose husband abandoned them, I will bust my ass to help that kid. I have actually done that. I will even pay more in taxes if no one else will help him but the government.

But don't drag out a high school dropout who calls in sick every Monday because he's too hungover to work his 15th job in ten years, and tell me he's entitled to take my hard earned money to pay for his aspirin. He does NOT have a right to take from me.

Free shit fag libtard.........

Blah blah blah.....senseless defense of a senseless concept.
TRANSLATION: I can't refute anything you said, so I'll call it names instead.

Lose your job and healthcare and let's see what you say then.
That only happens because government connect your access to health care, to your employment. Get rid of the tax exemption for health care plan payments, and you can keep your health care even when you lose your job.

But liberals don't dare consider the idea of reducing the power of government this way. They'd rather see people lose their health care.

I agree. I have no problem assisting those who are truly mentally or physically handicapped. I have also done so in the past.

Any able bodied person will have to pay their own way. Or not. The choice is theirs.

I don't give a crap whether it is a "right". I don't care if some people think it is "moral".

Is it that you don't care about morality? or is it that you think stealing (i.e. taking the fruits of one persons labor by force against the owners will) isn't immoral?

That's the problem with our society, people think that government isn't subject to the same morality that the individuals are and then they wonder why the behavior of the miscreants in government is so damn corrupt and IMMORAL.

If the government can take your money by force and give it to someone else that it feels is more "deserving" why is it illegal (and immoral) for me to do the exact same thing?

Why dont you give them free food and water while you are there...

And next step is free cars and houses I guess.

That's their problem.

They aren't my responsibility or yours or the taxpayers of America.

I bet you're a "Christian," aren't you?

Nope. Not religious at all. I'm just a taxpayers who's getting sick and tired of being hosed to take care of other peoples responsibilities.

But I bet you're "pro-life." So explain how a baby is responsible for being born with a heart defect.

(You do know no one's asking you to take them in to live with you, right? Would knowing that help you stop feeling like such a martyr?)

You are far too intelligent to think healthcare should or could be approved according to anyone's moral code. Not even Emperor G5000's. I think a lot of us have already argued that healthcare is not a right, it is a moral obligation in this day and age. I'll pay for the kid's aspirin and his broken arm and whatever else because (1) he paid into the system while he worked those 15 jobs and (2) he is a fellow citizen and I can't stomach seeing people die or spend their lives suffering, even if they're pains in the ass. Of course, I am partial to pains in the ass. I work with them a lot, trying to turn them around, so they won't be leeching off us forever.

You'd be dead wrong.

I'm pro choice and have no problem with abortion.

Appeal to Emotion Fallacy. Whenever a socialist wants another freebie program enacted, they send out the call, "HAUL OUT THE CANCER LADY!!!"

And now you just tossed the heart defect baby onto the stage.

Using helpless victims as human shields to give a crackhead thief free health care. Nice!

The whole idea of "rights" has been thoroughly corrupted to the point that people actually buy the notion that a right means the taxpayers must provide something.

Yup. Loads of people have grown up thinking the Govt., i.e. the taxpayers of America, owe them for food, housing and medical care.

If anyone has ever read the Constitution you won't find the word Charity in it anywhere and I doubt the FF envisioned one class of people, the taxpaying class supporting the none taxpaying or freeloader class.

The FF were pretty damned smart and its not their fault that America has loads of freeloaders who feel someone else should bankroll their lives for em.
GFY, Claudette. I am no free loader; I have worked all my life and have never taken a dime from the government even when things were really tough. And I still believe universal healthcare is the only fair and moral solution for our country.

Just who do you think will be paying for that universal HC??

We the taxpayer of course. We will be paying for everyone. That includes the freeloaders. People who can't or won't take care of themselves.

I've never taken a dime of taxpayer money either and have worked my whole life. Just because I have doesn't entitle me to other peoples money for healthcare or anything else for that matter.
. If we had a universal single payer health care system that worked for all, I would be honored and proud to know that I helped people get the best care needed for their sickness. And who is to say that if a person goes without worry to get treatment and get well, that they might become the very person who pays in later to get me the help that I may need when down and out one day due to an illness.

That's nice. Only problem is America is full of freeloaders who take but do nothing to give back.

Oh and BTW Who in their right mind wants the Govt. in charge of HC for 300 million Americans?

A Govt. that has never done anything cheaply or well in its entire history.

A Govt. that turns everything into mounds of paperwork, regulations, red tape and long waits.
. Good points but something has to be done.... Just saying.
