no wall - no country

Trump needs to learn you don’t shut down Government in an election year

Democrats have done it plenty of times.

In any event, the Trump Wall is one of the biggest parts of the Trump Mandate, and pushing it through right before the election will show the voters that Congress is one their side.

The problem the Republicans have had is NOT exercising their political will when they had a chance.

The fact that the GOP congresses elected in 2010 and 2014 did not defund O'care when they promised to, that's what led to the nomination of Donald J Trump in the first place. Establishment Republicans were deemed to be "low energy" losers by the voters and they went for a man committed to action. Had the establishment did as they promised, Trump would still be on reality TV

That was part of it, but most of the other Republicans were saying that in the primary. The difference between them and Trump is Trump promised a wall and a halt to illegals coming in this country. That's what pushed him over the edge, and apparently he still remembers it.
Trump pays lip service to his wall

He never took it seriously

He's not taking it seriously now? I think he is by warning the Democrats.
He will back down

He always does...even Republicans don’t want it

The $30 billion is better spent on roads, bridges, public transportation, power and communications infrastructure

You know.....projects Americans can actually use

The Wall will be a fantastic tourist attraction, bring lots of business to the border area for people wanting to see it. Red China has such a facility, called the "Great Wall" and millions visit it every year. I'm sure there were nay sayers when Qin S. Huang built their wall too, and it turned out pretty well.

Nope...Republicans don’t want it but 30 states and 2,623 counties elected him to shut wetbacks the fuck down.
Suddenly, REAL Americans love wetbacks.

Trump really won't be responsible for shutting down the government. We elect officials to tax, spend and create regulations all of which are Republican led. If the Democrats get in the way of the work people elected, it's the Democrats that will shut down the government.

Now, in the past the MSM has been able to lie about all this while the Republicans sat virtually silent. But Trump has a big mouth and a Twitter account with a lot of followers. He will explain to the people exactly who is to blame and why.

The thing is, Trump can't pass a budget with a wall in it because he can't get enough Republicans to go along with it.

They know this is a waste of money, too.

The real tragedy of the Trump era is that so many republicans know Trump is messed up, but they refuse to do anything about it.

It's why they need to lose the house and senate.

What extortion? Trump wanted to make a DACA deal with them; a better one than they wanted in exchange for a wall. Guess what the Democrats told Trump?

Typical Crooked Donnie

He had a working DACA program and canceled it as soon as he took office.......then expects you to “bargain” to get back what you had

Let Mexico pay for his wall of hate

Wrong. That expiration date was put in long before Trump threw his hat in the ring. The Democrat will do anything to stop the wall because they are scared to death of it, which I happen to like BTW.
Given the many, many projects that lack funding
We have better uses for our tax dollars than a wall of hate

Oh, they brainwashed you into that race thing again.....huh. My what a surprise.

Well that money is about a third of what we spend on food stamps in just one year. But you're more than happy to spend our money on that and all it does is make more lazy and irresponsible people.
Food stamps help people

The $30 billion is better spent on roads, bridges, public transportation, power and communications infrastructure

I think millions of Americans could use the wall: those who lost a loved one because of a drug overdose, those who were raped or robbed by an illegal, those who lost property when they trespassed and bathed in their water reserves they were going to use for their crops, just millions of Americans. And I'm sure Kate Steinle's father sure wishes we had a wall several years ago.

Baloney...the majority of Americans DO want a wall....don't embarrass yourself showing me phony polls...and Cryin Chuck will cave in long before the November voting....his caucus is already turning on him over Cavanaugh....just a matter of time before HE gets primaried.

A majority of Americans oppose building Trump's wall, but 83% support giving Dreamers citizenship

  • While 57% disapprove of building a wall across the US-Mexico border, 83% support granting allowing of DACA immigrants to be citizens.

The only thing we need to lose are those Republicans that would vote against it......and those representatives know it. On the other hand, a vote would put those Democrat representatives who are up for reelection in the hot seat, so look for a tradeoff over there.

Not really. Most people oppose the wall, they know it's a dumb idea.

My guess, this will be another empty Trump threat. He's good for those.

And after November, the GOP will be just as keen to impeach Trump as the Democrats... maybe more so.

How true
We could charge people to piss on it

Republicans support it to save Trumps ass
They do not want a shutdown weeks before an election

The Republican Establishment really doesn't know their behind from a hole in the ground.

If the GOP Establishmentarians knew how to beat the Far Left, the voters wouldn't have bothered to nominate and elect the rank outsider, Donald J. Trump in the first place. They would have nominated and elected Jeb! instead

Ah yes, biting the hand that feeds you. No Republican would be stupid enough to go against Trump in this economy. They learned their lesson last election by crossing voters. We elected Trump because of their ignoring of our demands.

Now if the wall is a dumb idea, don't you think that the Democrats would welcome the wall so they could rub our noses in it for decades to come? After all, a 25 billion dollar failure would be an insurance policy they could remind voters of every election.

The reason Democrats are against the wall is because it interferes with their long-term plans of flooding this country with foreigners. You are a Democrat, you know you would sell your own mother for fifty bucks. That's what Democrats are all about; sacrifice the country for power.

The wall is a Democrat nightmare because it will work. It will reduce illegal immigration, slow down the movement of recreational narcotics to this country, and reduce crime that those illegals bring with them.

Trumps support for a wall is very weak
He doesn’t have the votes

Maybe if he can get Mexico to pay for it

Why would that be the case? Iraq was a TRILLION dollar failure, and the dumb white trash have completely forgotten Republicans got us into that mess we are still in.

NO, we are against the wall because it is mean, stupid and expensive. The undocumented will just find a way around it. LIke they find a way around the fences that are down there now.

Ah yes, biting the hand that feeds you. No Republican would be stupid enough to go against Trump in this economy. They learned their lesson last election by crossing voters. We elected Trump because of their ignoring of our demands.

More people voted against Trump than for him, even in the primaries. They just couldn't get their act together on an alternative. If the government shuts down when republicans control all the branches of government, that's totally on you guys.

Oh please, your class clown spent almost a trillion dollars on a so-called stimulus that did nothing for the economy and he knew it wouldn't right from the beginning.

Yes they are getting around the fences, BY GOING TO WHERE THERE ARE NO FENCES. Duh!

More people in California voted against Trump and they are the SOLE REASON the witch got the popular vote. And no, not the primaries. You can use all the Clinton math you like.

Now tell us, what happened to the Republicans the last couple of times the government got shut down? That's why Trump isn't afraid of it.

Unemployment went from 10% to 5%. It did exactly what it was supposed to do.

You mean walking through a checkpoint with a visa that later expires... um, yeah, that's what most of them are doing.

Hillary got 4.5 Million votes in Florida and 3.8 million votes in Texas... but those votes could have just as easily put her over the top against Putin's Cockholster.

More Republican primary voters voted for other candidates, too. But since Kasich and Cruz split the never Trump vote, he won the nomination.
