And when that didn't work, he has scrambled to blame the Republicans for the story having legs and piously claiming he didn't know.
He didn't know about Jeremiah Wright's radical and Anti-American rants from the pulpit though he claimed to have been an active member of that congregation for 20 years.
He and Eric Holder didn't know anything about the Fast and Furious scandal. They weren't 'in that loop'.
He didn't know Solyndra and a dozen other 'green companies' were such poor investment risks. Nobody advised him.
He didn't know all those shovel ready jobs weren't shovel ready.
He and Janet Napolitano didn't know about the release of hundreds of illegal immigrants with criminal records. That decision was made by low level ICE personnel.
He didn't know about the full extent of the economic crisis when he was questioned about lack of progress.
He didn't have anything to do with cancelling tours at the White House--that decision was made strictly by HIS secret service detail.
He didn't know anything about IRS officials targeting conservative groups. "Outrageous" he said, but it wasn't anybody in my administration who did that and nobody knows anything about it though it happened during the 2012 campaign.
And voila, he and his Secretary of State deny any knowledge of requests for additional security in Benghazi.
And surprise, surprise, when questioned about threats and intimidation of whistle blowers re Benghazi, would you believe he actually said, "I was unaware of anything like that."
And he gets away with it because he can depend on the other media and leftists on sites like USMB to blame Republicans and Fox News for all negative news and otherwise ignore it all.
But for a President who is quick to take personal credit for ANYTHING positive that happens, he sure doesn't know a hell of a lot about what is going on.
