Obama: “Muslim-Americans Are As Patriotic, And American As Any Other Members Of The American Family”

Exactly. We have our own psychos to worry about. Why import more?

What psychos are we importing?

Nobody knows. That's the problem. These people are NOT like us. They have a completely different culture and totally different beliefs when it comes to a lot of "secular" society rules.

'these people'?

Who are 'these people'?

Who do you think? Immigrants from the uncivilized backwards hell hole called the Middle East. No thank you. Let them stay put and kill each other off. The world would be a better place for it! Now, go ahead and call me a "bigot" or a "racist." Lol.

Have you actually ever met a "Muslim immigrant"?

The first Muslim 'immigrant' I remember meeting was Egyptian- he was in the United States working on his master's- he was already a Medical Doctor but was getting a Masters in another field. His wife was delightful- they had hosted American students in Alexandria for years.

Then there was my buddy who was also from Egypt- he was here studying for a masters in Engineering- he was so excited and couldn't wait to become an American citizen. He didn't eat pork or drink alcohol but we were able to overcome those shortcomings.

I have known dozens of Muslim immigrants to the United States- some from the Middle East, some from Asia, some from Africa. All good people- like most people I have known. Most of the ones I have known were better educated than most Americans- typically with at least a college degree and able to speak at least 3 languages. Their kids go to public school and play football and basketball and volleyball. The parents serve on the PTA. They are all here for the American dream- often escaping the repression of their home countries.

In other words- pretty much like most of the immigrants we have had in the United States.

Oh yeah, sure they are. Your personal experiences don't really count. Where ever Muslim immigrants go, terrorism follows. That is a fact.

Pres. Obama is correct.

The vast majority of American Muslims are patriotic law abiding citizens who are fully integrated into our society. .......

Says the Sunni who thinks French women should "cover up" to avoid making him feel uncomfortable.

I disagree on Sunni Man's bigotry- but you didn't address his comment- and I think that is a shame.

Because while he is usually wrong- in this case he is correct.

The vast majority of American Muslims are patriotic law abiding citizens who are members of our society.

You really have problems reading what people ACTUALLY say dontcha? 2nd time in 3 days..

I DID address the comment. Said in this case --- I AGREED with Obama's statement. BUT -- it only BECAUSE we have not accommodated and pandered to new waves of immigrants that AMERICAN Muslim practice is so well integrated into a FREE and TOLERANT society.

Unlike SunniMan --- who just DAYS before -- spent about 10 pages about how WESTERN cultures were gonna HAVE to comprise in order to have a peaceful practice of Islam in their part of the world. And he was EXCUSING the knifing of a Mother/Daughters in France because they were scantily clad and offensive.

If ya wanna BUST me for something. QUOTE IT exactly -- and we'll chat. You do recognize the difference between accomodation and compromise and assimilation dontcha?

No, they do not recognize anything. If you do not coddle the Muslims and agree with the left's views on immigration, then they will tell you that you are a bigot.

Why is protecting the religious freedom of American Muslims 'coddling'?

In your opinion.

Because their beliefs are in conflict with ours. They oppress women and children, and THAT is a part of their culture. I don't want them here. Let them stay in the Middle East and treat their OWN women like crap.

I agree but there are good Muslims like Sunni, in great numbers too.. I know him pretty well and he's an exceptional man. Having said as much, those same Muslims need to stand up and be heard, speak out, turn in ANYONE who they believe to be radical.
Thank you for your vote of confidence LGS ......

Our mosque is very large and can accommodate over a thousand people. We have great relations with Homeland Security, FBI, and all state and local LEO's.

In fact, we have held job fairs in the mosque to recruit muslims into all Federal and State agencies.

I have two close muslim friends, a man and a woman, who are Federal agents and carry a concealed weapon. Plus a couple of local uniformed police officer's who are muslims.

Unfortunately, when muslims do help out; it's never reported in the media.

We once had a guy causing trouble and making certain statements. We kicked him out of the mosque. I can't reveal all of the details. But he eventually wound up in federal prison for a couple of decades. .....

I believe you have that opinion burdening you because you have led a sheltered life, have listened to too much propaganda, have never be in a working environment with people from very diverse backgrounds around the world, have very limited to no travel experience in other parts of the world and/or been immersed in other cultures to gain an understanding of that culture.

Of course there are very bad people in the world, or folks with simply different customs and perspectives in their home Nation/culture, BUT that is no reason to maintain a bunker mentality and live in fear and isolation with the rest of the herd!

So you're saying that when Bush got that Intel Memo that "Bin Laden intent on planning attacks on American soil" or when 43 terrorist groups and a couple Arab nations declare they are at war with you and 15 to 20% of the ARAB Muslim world agrees with that -- that everyone -- including Bush should have and should now -- ignore it?
Did I mention anything close to that anywhere in my post even approaching that stupid and uninformed conclusion you cobbled together from whole unwashed cloth? If I did, you quote the damn passage, fool! Don't even try to put words in my mouth or falsely attribute or deceitfully imply or infer "things" to which I did not put my hand.

The Aug 6, 2001 PDB among your other non sequitur idiocies, to which you are referring, had nothing to do whatsoever, with my post to another! Now that I have your measure, crawl back in your hole

I am the one who made a comment. You addressed MY comment. I don't care what you say. Their culture clashes with our culture in many, many ways.
You may want to check and see who you WANT to posted this to. My post you addressed was sent to flacaltenn. Hey, it happens.

No- that is not a 'fact'

God are you really this ignorant?

We have had Muslim immigrants in the United States for decades- and most of the terrorist attacks in the United States have either been by non-immigrants- or non- Muslims.

The 9/11 attacks- here on business and student visa's.
Boston- men who immigrated here as children
Orlando- native born American Muslim
Oklahoma City- Americans- not Muslim.

We have whole communities of Somali refugees in the United States with no terrorism. We have a big Muslim immigrant population in the Bay Area- and no terrorist attacks.

You need to stop believing the fear mongering- and look at the facts. You call my personal actual experiences 'don't really count'- well they are real.

I get that you are scared. But that doesn't mean you need to be ignorant or irrational.

I am all for screening immigrants. But on a rational basis- not just because you are scared of all Muslims from the Middle East.

Take care of you Sunni and stay safe *hug.. That's so very wrong and I can understand why so many Muslims are afraid to speak out after all, more Muslims are slaughtered by radical extremists than anyone else.

The nonstop apology tour continues.
After Boston, San Bernadino and Orlando we got to watch the reactions of friends and/or family. About as anti American as you can get.

Dude's not a leader. This is what we'll get with Hillary too, btw. Just ignore the problem(s) and allow them to continue. You'll noticed I didn't go with the colloquialism ending, "and hope it goes away." The reality is they support the continued chaos.

MY post still stands. Their culture clashes with our culture. End of story.
It may stand in your mind which is full of fear and loathing of what you keep at a distance. Not much of a life to be that damn scared of living the life the Creator has given you to embrace and enjoy and LOVE!

Have a good evening Chris!

There is no "creator." I do enjoy my life here in America where we (at this time) don't have to worry about being killed or tormented by foreign terrorists. I want to keep it that way. Become the next Israel? No thanks. If you don't believe these people are savages, maybe you should try living there and speaking your mind? :D
OK!!! God bless you anyway, Chris! The rest of your post displays nothing but desperate fear, hate and loathing. That's unhealthy and drives people away!

You are incorrect on both points about my comments on previous posts.

1) I never stated that western cultures are going to HAVE to comprise in order to have a "peaceful" Islam in their part of the world.

What I said was, that history has shown when two cultures intermingle. There will be give and take from both camps. That assimilation isn't a one-way street. And that some adjustments will eventually be made within the society.

2) I never excused or condoned the knife attack on the mother and her daughters. I stated that the man was obviously mentally ill.

But I did lay some of the blame on the mother for letting the children be around a psychotic individual while dressed immodestly. ......

Actually your 30 or 40 posts went a lot farther. Said "obviously the woman and children were dressed immodestly". When told about French women being afraid to sunbath on the beach, you said -- "I'm glad that French women are returning to modesty and civility".

You also said "It was too late for Europe" in regards to preserving their freedoms and tolerance. America is an example that the problem AINT ISLAM. It's the importation of repressive and violent CULTURE that is the issue.

Which is why AMERICA is one of the very few examples of peaceful and open practice of the faith -- without all the political and cultural baggage that USUALLY comes with it..

Because of separation of church and state in our society which is secular. Thankfully.

Keeping our society secular- and not allowing religions to determine our laws is so important to the United States.

That's a fine line.. Do not kill is one of the 10 commandments- Our laws derive from a religious founding whether you or any other liberal care to admit it. The Founders understood that laws were created for a MORAL people.

Not really a fine line.

The 10 Commandments have nothing to do with our laws. There were laws against killing before the 10 commandments and laws against killing in societies that having nothing to do with Western religions.

The Bill of Rights were created in part- to protect Americans from religious intollerance.
