Why not focus on getting mentally ill people off the streets? Crazy people can use bombs, bats, knives, or tire irons to kill people. The gun is harmless until some idiot picks it up-----------oh, and so are bombs, bats, knives, and tire irons.

so basically you want to void the second amendment. The kid in Newtown did not get his guns legally, he would have gotten them if there were background checks because his mother bought them and her record was clean.
