I don't believe so. The media's the media, even if they are incredibly slanted to the left. When you mess with one, you mess with them all. They're pissed. And I believe and hope that this doesn't go away. On top of being targeted, they are being stonewalled on Benghazi, were given a paltry 100 pages of emails by the White House, and apologized to by the IRS for targeting Christian/Republican groups for aggressive auditing procedures.
I don't think this is something that will just go away.
That's not really important though. A person doesn't really need to go to University to be educated.
Then why did you make that specific suggestion?
Because his was an ignorant analysis of the US body politic based on the mass media's conditioning of the public, (specifically conservative media and the so called "tea party" elements thereof) to make them believe certain things about the electorate. This was a more useful and polite piece of advice because I aim to be friendly and helpful, not to be a troll. Now, if you want my honest opinion, with your badgering, and your harassing, I could have just stated, no, you are wrong; and said go read a book instead of believe everything you read and hear.
But what would be the point? Eh? The power of propaganda really cannot be so easily overcome. Read any Edward Bernays? I can't compete with the conditioning you receive daily through your electronic media if you do not make the effort to raise your own awareness. If you do not make an effort to unplug from the hive mind, you are a lost cause. THAT is the cause of your mis-perception.

It's looking like it will be as damaged as what Bush did to the Republican brand. Maybe we'll be able to move back to the center after this administration.

A) Need to stop watching so much Faux news and listening to so much conservative talk radio, the propaganda is conditioning your mind. Obama is a center-left politician. Compared to European politicians? He is a fascist.

B) Take an elementary class in political science at the University level. Americans have not shifted to the left in any substantial way, nor have their politics. Sure, the press make it seem that way. Socially they may have, but this is more a product of Hollywood than it is a product of the Beltway. The global elites would like to push their agenda, but as was made clear by their gun agenda, they have obviously overplayed their hand. Even half of the so called "liberal" Democrats realize you can't enact gun control w/o amending the Constitution.

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: That was a holding operation. That was the absolute minimum he could have done. He relieves one person, he obviously had to. He had to relieve at least one person. He chose, of course, the acting commissioner but I would have expected more. The other actions he announced are up to now meaningless.
Obama and this administration have said a hundred times they're going to hold x, y, or z accountable for all kinds of behavior. In benghazi, you know, regarding a lot of other scandals. He even speaks about Syrian generals are going to be held accountable. It means nothing. And then he says there will be an investigation from the Treasury. Well, that just means the left hand of the government investigating the right hand. He did say he'll cooperate with Congress. But then he has the chutzpah to essentially warn Republicans not to make this into a political event when what we're talking about is the IRS applying political criteria inexcusably unconstitutionally, probably criminally, in deciding who it's going to investigate. IRS, AP, Benghazi, the dirty details of how Obamacare really got 'passed,' the arrogant dismissals of all this and much more enabled by a lap-dog press...it's all starting to pile up. The septic tank can only hold so much corruption before a good cleaning comes due. If Obama manages to play Greased-up Deaf Guy and complete his second term, how damaged will the brand be by the end of it? How many scape goats will end up on the spit, and who will they be? Will the mid-term elections portend things to come, or act as a pressure-release valve that allows the administration to limp its way to the finish line?

Can either party be fixed? We're seeing absolute power from this admin and the last one. Its destroying the country. The next in charge will become even more emboldened.

I don't have to. If you believe that the body politic isn't already "in the center" you need to do some reading. Where ever the combined average is at, that is defined as, "the center."
As it so happens, even with the election of Obama, Americans are significantly to the right of nearly every other western nation on the Globe. You really would have to stretch things to say Obama's policies are anything other than centrist.
Why did the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court rule with the other liberal Justices that the national health care law was constitutional? Why? Because it wasn't socialism, it was an example of fascism. What a compromise! How could an arch-conservative not jump at the chance to not make fascism constitutional? Men fought and died in a world war to defeat fascism, and now in one stroke, a supposedly progressive president passes legislation that would make Hitler and Mussolini proud. So a coalition of social democrats and a business friendly conservative judge on the highest court in the land rule it constitutional?
No sir, the nation is far from veering to the left. Since the days of Carter, we have continually lost more and more of our civil liberties and civil rights to government and corporate power. Regardless of your other posts. I base it on your single post.
The fact is, left and right are losing their meaning currently in America and more and more people are beginning to awaken to what is really going on. I can't discuss it with you, because you aren't one of them. Just the fact that you think still in terms of left/right is an indicator. Both the left and the right still believe in the funny money lie. And those that run the nation make laws that everyone MUST go to school, and that lie must be taught in school, and they own all the media, so it is what is constantly drilled in our brains. But don't you believe it. There are other ways. Any time any nation on Earth dares to try one? They get invaded by us. But we use some other pretext and lie about it.
So what is the point? Really? We don't even speak the same political language. We're both nice people I'm sure, with just two radically different epistemological systems of thought. Mine is my own, yours is the one they gave you. . . . .
