But, I'm wondering how Pelosi will react if Trump does give the State of the Union speech in another venue like a Trump rally and then just submits the speech in writing to Congress. Could she stand being made irrelevant by not being part of the process? Could she stand Trump being on tv and her not being there? What if he bought the tv time himself and the Democrats couldn't make a rebuttal? (I'm sure the networks would give them the time, but how would they feel if they were shut out?) Honestly, I think this is just a two edged sword that Pelosi had aimed at her own neck.

He can literally mail it in. Congress does not have to invite him to speak.
