How can you automatically be logged in under another name.....unless you were previously logged in under that name?

No, but I imagine if I did, since I have "remember me" checked, they would have immediately been in my account. If she didn't have "remember me" checked, her friend could not log on to her account unless she knew her password, which is rather inane, to let your friends have your password! She (her firend) would have had to log into her own account. If she then checked "remember me" .....KatzandDogs, when going up to USMB, would immediately go into her account, but all she had to do was uncheck the "remember me" and log out.....then she would have been able to log into her own account.

I think it's locked. Those quasi-pornographic ads are really embarrassing here when I am showing my elderly aunt and uncle or some other innocent person something on the computer and there those ads are in all their glory. And you just don't dare check in at USMB when you're working. I finally installed Adblock in self defense, but they're still there.

I think what I may miss the most about the old software is the ability to see who is in the thread at any given time.

I know that I have been in back and forths, and then have left the thread for whatever reason. The person I am debating has no idea that I have logged off, and is left hanging, waiting for a response.

If you're using firefox, I recommend BluHell Firewall. It stops ads and scripts.

That's what I do (AdBlock Plus). I don't think I've ever seen an ad. Plus when somebody insists on running obnoxious animated chewing things in their sigline or posts disgusting pictures, I can selectively filter them out with ABP and they're gone forever, which is a nice bonus.

It did get a bit overzealous and started blocking images from one particular source, but I fixed that.

Penelope It doesn't really lessen the load on your computer --the content still exists even if it's filtered out -- but it does give the eyes a break at least.

Just don't do what I do and keep 187 tabs open at a time..

Oh thank you so much, I just downloaded it, and no more ads so far, its like a "miracle". Some of those ads were very hard on the eyes. Yes I do have a tendency to have lots of tabs open, need to watch that.
