Oh well, I suppose the U.S. will always remain to daily gun shooting

In addition to the problem of 30,000 gun deaths a year, the problem where conservatives refuse to even address the issue, the problem where conservatives won’t consider solutions having nothing to do with the regulation of firearms, and the problem where conservatives respond only with demagoguery and lies about guns being ‘banned’ and ‘confiscated.’
So 30K deaths are the big problem?

So your problem is the number of deaths?
Sure. A third of those are suicides--about 10,000 or so.

Did you know that when someone uses a gun to commit suicide, they are successful 8 out of 10 times? The next leading cause of successful suicide in the nation is suffocation including hanging. Hanging is successful 1/2 the time. You more closely limit the availability of guns, you end up with more people living. If you like that sort of thing.

Suicide is brought on by a number of factors including mental health issues, substance abuse, life trauma and societal factors... The problem doesn't just magically go away if they don't kill themselves.

Is death really the reason why many despise guns? 30-40K deaths annually (including suicides), is statistically insignificant, and if death is the epicenter of anger .. why isn't the same energy focused on other common areas that produce significantly more deaths annually? Oh .. like COVID, which is still killing 2K-3K / weekly? Alcohol, with 100K deaths annually, and 40% of those are acute conditions (e.g. poisoning) and external causes (e.g. drunk driving)? How about drugs, where they contribute to another 100K deaths annually, and 40% of those are from synthetic drugs like fentanyl which is pouring over the border?

What else doesn't go away is the father who leaves a widow and kids behind, the mother who leaves an infant child due to postpartum depression...the kids who kill themselves... The problems can be solved. Death is pretty much the period on the end of the sentence.

Wow. That was an incredibly idiotic statement.

Nothing in your post is true.
But you knew that when you posted it.

Going the emotional route I see .. suicides are going to happen no matter what types of controls are put on firearms. It's just another mental health issue (in many cases) with firearms that we continue to see, not only with suicides, but with mass shooters... and the Democrat response is to ban firearms .. now that's idiotic.

Wow. That was an incredibly idiotic statement.
If death is the primary concern with firearms .. one should be congruent with that belief across all areas of higher death outcomes. What's incredibly idiotic is complaining about 30K-40K deaths a year and demanding extreme tightened regulations, while ignoring other focus areas that produce 2x - 4x more deaths annually.

You're ignoring the statistics. Going the Conservative route, I see.

Again... your comment is moronic.

What statistics? Is a gun death different than any other death?
When a gun is used in a suicide attempt, it is successful 80% of the time. The next most commonly used method of suicide in the US is suffocation including hanging one's self. It's successful about 50% of the time.

Meaning that absent of a gun, a person is more likely to try to hang themselves. And 30% of the time they will be less successful.
Yes yes .. because gun deaths are different from .. COVID deaths .. or alcohol deaths ... or transgender suicides .. got it.
You've got nothing but a moronic comment that you should walk back.

Well suicide is a deeply personal decision. When you use a gun you are successful 8 out of 10 times. That isn't the case in other nations that have solved the gun issue--the same one we choose not to solve.

You didnt explain how it is that those countries have higher suicide rates than we do…..

Didn't need to. But feel free to tell us your theory.

You are the one who thinks guns are the issue in suicide...but when confronted with the fact that they aren't, you can't explain your position....

Well, the CDC (the guys you cite all the time) think so too:
