On the GOP

Blaming Madam Pelosi for the debt in CA is formed by bias and ignorance; there is no factual evidence to even suggest a single member of Congress had anything to do with the policies that created a large debt in CA, or the growth of the national debt as speaker under George W. Bush.

California is a liberal state run by a predominantly liberal Democrat legislature since 1972, influenced by liberal policies that currently includes some of the highest taxes in the land including corporate taxes. Yet the state is the highest in debt, twice that of New York which runs in second. The Democrats through Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reed controlled the purse strings and the legislature of Congress since 2006. Pelosi and Reed also condones an believes in the same liberal policies that are currently enacted in California, particularly in their belief regarding taxes. It is no secret that they desire, as well as President Obama, to see those same liberal policies enacted in the United States.

Wrong and complete bullshit.

1. One of CA's biggest issues is overcrowded prisons, a direct result of "tough" on crime Republicans who ran on "use a gun, got to prison", three strikes & 25 to life and along with the liberals supported a change from indeterminant to determinant sentencing. they cut the number of parole agents along with the need for inmates to behave, take classes and accept counseling. Also they eliminated conjugal visits as too soft.

Each session the legislature made more and more crimes ineligible for probation, thus raising the number of prison commitments each year.

The result: overcrowded prisons, high medical costs, gangs, high stress on the line, overtime costs for CO's as well as larger numbers of staff injuries.

2, CA has a large number of non citizens in our penal system, both county and state. The Federal Government refuses to pay for these costs.

3. The population of CA continued to grow but the Republicans in the legislature refused to raise taxes and made it next to impossible for counties and special districts to raise revenue.

4. I could go on but the willfully ignorant have already stopped reading, if they actually ever started.

you know what Wry?......were i am at a hell of a lot of DEMOCRATS are tired of every time something happens....they want to raise taxes or put a "fee" on something.....these guys blow everything and then ask for more so they can blow that too.....its not just the fucking Republicans.....maybe you should think about who the "willfully" ignorant are in this State...

When you do need something more than "minor medical", it will be me and Joe and all the rest of the working stiffs that will pay for you...because that's the system we have. I pay $75 dollars for a handful of gauze so that when you end up with more than "minor medical", you'll be taken care of.

oh right, like I haven't had to work out with medical provider to make PAYMENTS on a medical bill before...you and Joey can think you are all that in life but dear a lot of us can make it in life Without either you..

anyway have a good day

No you can't. If you don't have insurance, there will be a point you can't pay for it. That's a fact. You can't make payments on a $500,000 medical bill. You would do what hundreds of thousands have done before you, declare bankruptcy.

Medical Bankruptcy is no Myth

If I did declare bankruptcy over a medical bill, how is that taking skin off yours and Joeys ass?
you aren't the medical provider who carried the bill...my gawd you two really think a lot of others..that is why I wouldn't ever want to be indepted to people like you two, it comes with a lot of crap..

The Republican Party (RP) is dying by its own hand. To be viable it needs to weed out extremists and understand a national party needs to represent all United States Citizens. At one time the party leaders pretended to have a big tent open to everyone; once that was proved ridiculous they dropped the tag-line and even the pretext of cultural pluralism.

There is no doubt that the RP is the party of Big Business and holds blue collar workers in disdain. Their policies exploit the low income worker, both non citizen immigrants and Americans citizens, and deceive the middle class with platitudes, false pathos and promises never fulfilled. They obfuscate issues with emotion laden propaganda and misuse words - making them pejoratives - to defame anyone who represents a threat to their one goal: Power.

Essentially the RP of today is built on a foundation of mendacity and is little different than the French Aristocracy before 1789. While the phrase, "let them eat cake" is apocryphal it exists today in the policies of the extreme members in GOP leadership, especially on the state level. Attacks on Unionism, demands that the poor pay more in taxes and the 'job creators' pay less, eliminating the minimum wage law, acting as if those in the legislatures know better then do doctors on the needs of health for women and children, building barriers to voting and that anyone who attempts to curtail the abuse of health insurers is a Communist, Socialist or Statist.

Unless the RP wakes up it will find itself a footnote in history.

Go ahead. The GOP stance is repeal. That's not what national polls show that people want.

Poll: Most voters don't back ObamaCare repeal - The Hill's Healthwatch

Wytch.....lots of people would like to see Health Care Reform and people get the care they need.....but a hell of a lot of people dont like many parts of what has been foisted on us and the idea of the Govt. running the show......so i guess we will find out eventually who is right....

Wrong. Lots of people that don't like the ACA don't think it went far enough. 70% supported a public (government) option while this debate was raging. Much of the opposition to the ACA is that there is too much private in our healthcare.

once again it depends on who you are talking too doesnt it?......many liberal Democrats did not think it went far enough......many in the middle on both sides wanted to see HEALTH CARE REFORM of some kind..... but were pretty weary of the Govt running the thing.....and many Conservative Republicans did not want this thing at all.....

A lot of those folks had no idea what they were supporting. The Mormons and their buddies told all sorts of lies about sexually explicit indoctrination in the schools.

come on Joe..... are you saying the Democrats in this State are so dam stupid they could not understand the Ballet?.....and are you telling me that the Democrats are going to be swayed by what the fucking Mormons tell them?....sounds like excuses to me.....the Democrats just dont want to admit that same sex marriage is just not that well received.....even by their own people....

Guess What State Will See Lower Health Insurance Premiums This Year?

Has Massachusetts Finally 'Cracked the Code' On Health Care Costs?

and this has what to do with gay marriage?.....

70% supported a public (government) option?

Ahhhhh .... so that's why Nancy Pelosi kept those blue dog democrats in Congress and wouldn't allow them to go back to face their constituents? Of course, makes perfect sense to keep them in Congress until they were all behind this Obamacare mess.

Polls and the Public Option

Most in U.S. want public health option: poll

PublicOptionParty.jpg

i dont see were these "polls" back up what you are saying.....it just tells me that people want to get the system reformed but it also looks like they are weary of the govt running the show and want the private guys there so they can have them also.....

I think most voters are kind of stupid regardless of party.

And, yes, the Mormons engaged in a lot of shenannigans trying to get Prop 8 passed.

Prop. 8 Campaign Violated Disclosure Laws, Says Commission, Faces $49,000 Fine (PHOTOS)

Which is probably a large part of the reason why the state officials- republican and democrats, refused to defend it in court.

Gov. Brown and AG Harris are both Democrats, and they decided not to defend Prop. 8.

Neither did Arnold Schwartzenegger, who was a Republican.

Of course, he knew he was going back to Hollywood, he didn't want to do anything else to tick off the "girlymen"...

Arnold found out what Brown is finding out.....the Legislature here does not give a fuck about the Gov. if he is not for what they want......

First of all, it is impossible to weed out the extremists when they comprise such a large percentage of the party. The problem is that the extreme right has control of the party and is dictating the dialogue for the entire party. More reasonable Republicans need to take the party back from these extremists while still understanding that they will be given a voice. The problem is that many reasonable Republicans are just fed up and are leaving the party. If they never go back, then the Republican Party is finished in the long run.

lets start providing examples of these extremists views, it might be helpful-

Of course, when the Black Guy Did It...

I was going to comment and how you where wrong on Nixon but, when I saw this I realized, theres no talking to you, and you have the gall to call others crazies? Whatever...bye.

Yeah, guy, I know the racism that infects your party like a cancer is a problem. But let's review this one.

2008. Mitt Romney was running on what a bang-up job he did as governor of Massachusetts. The Centerpiece of his campaign was this great free market health care plan that mandated every be covered and medicare be expanded to cover those who couldn't afford the premiums.

And guess what. Everyone thought it was WOOOONDERFUL. The Heritage Foundation just couldn't say enough good things about it. Of course, Republicans rejected Romney for his crazy religion and the fact they didn't trust the guy, but no one had a problem with his health care problem.

Then lo and behold, Obama proposed the same thing on the national level. Gives up on things like the Public Option to try to get Republicans to do along. Oddly, none of them did. You have to wonder why.... What could be their reason for not going along with their own plan. Hmmm.

The Black Guy Did It!

Romney wouldn't be caught having a Hot Chocolate with his own health care plan in 2012

Joe there is some good points here.....but the black thing....i heard enough of this bullshit.....yes there are people who are against Obama because he is black....but no where near the number you gave ,90%.....it is a lot easier to have a plan for 6.6 million people in a confined area than trying to cover 300 million plus in a Country of this size especially when UE was at what?, around 9-10%?.....if Obama would have just dealt with the people who were at that time without Ins. and who needed and wanted it....he would have had much more support, because losing your job at that time could have happened to anyone, and it would not have been such a huge undertaking......and they could have seen how that worked out and went from there......and they could have still instilled the new regs about previous conditions and so forth to the existing Companies....and the guy would be looking a lot better in my opinion...

No it didn't. People do not want the ACA repealed, they want it fixed. (Those that even know anything beyond the lies Fox spews about it) A HUGE fix would be getting that public option back in there.

how about that? they pass some Monster government program that is going to cost the people in this country MONEY and their freedoms and it has to be FIXED right out of the gate..

if this isn't a sign competent governing what is? and some ofyou people just sit back and yawn over it...

my gawd we are frikken doomed

Yes, fixed. It's not liberal enough. Too many giveaways to private insurance companies...but that's what you get from Blue Dogs.
to conservative for ya?.....you guys treat them just like the Right treats the RINOS....if they dont agree with ya.....treat them like shit.....one reason i cant stomach the fucking 2 Parties.....toe the line or go somewhere else.....well me and millions like me....went somewhere else....

Duh...that was the point. People without insurance could still get their lives saved...by the rest of us. The freeloaders could forgo their insurance and buy a crotch rocket instead...that they would later wrap around a tree so that I got to pay for their lifeflight and emergency care. Great system!

I wouldn't want someone like you or Obama helping save my life...everything to some of you is MONEY..saving the life is just something you USE to put down others who don't NEED insurance and pay for their OWN medical as they become ill..

It costs money to provide medical care.

So either medical care is a consumer item or it's a public service.

Most of the world treats it as a public service. As a result, they pay less for it, they live longer, less of their babies die in infancy and they aren't wiped out by a medical crisis.

Unlike this country, where 62% of bankruptcies are caused by medical issues.

here we go again....were you talking to Rocks?.....a health care system does not help you live longer.....it is your lifestyle that does that.....you can have fucking Dr. Crusher and the Enterprise as your clinic....if you dont take care of yourself.....which apparently many Americans dont.....then all that good medicine will go to waste.....the Dr. says quit smoking, you dont.....the Dr. says lose weight, you dont.....the Dr. says, come in for periodic checkups, you dont......so how is the Med System helping you live longer?....

So will you dutifully die if your medical issues are more than you can pay for out of pocket?

Just curious.

Because you seem to take the attitude that if they can't pay, fuck them.

you know, you should eat a bullet and "dutifully DIE" because you are such miserable human being in life...I already said I PAY for myself and what happens in my life is none of your fucking business.

So you don't want to answer the question then?

I do notice you get angry when someone asks you a question you don't want to answer.

Yes or no, if you have a disease that the treatment of which will cost more money than you have or could possibly earn, are you going to dutifully agree to die because, hey, that's the beauty of "Freedom" or "The Market" or whatever the Koch Brothers have told you to believe.

the notorious Koch Bros donate quite a lot of money for Medical and Scientific research....so much in fact they just cant be on the right.....Dean says righties just dont do this kind of stuff.....

If they took you without insurance, it was either because your problem was so minor it didn't matter or you leeched off the rest of us at an emergency room.

In your case, I'm thinking the latter.

you so called "caring" liberals are some the most hateful in our country..they took me without insurance because I PAID out of POCKET...
I haven't needed anything more than minor medical, thankfully and can't think of the last YEAR I have went to the EMERGENCY ROOM...and you AND the Seawitch would the LAST fucking people I would want help from and have to think I owed you thanks for ANYTHING

When you do need something more than "minor medical", it will be me and Joe and all the rest of the working stiffs that will pay for you...because that's the system we have. I pay $75 dollars for a handful of gauze so that when you end up with more than "minor medical", you'll be taken care of.

my god.....go to Target or CVS.....

I find it so funny that so many of the self proclaimed Independents blast Obama and Democrats and defend Republicans policies. It is telling that those who claim to eschew both parties are so in line with the Republican Party are embarrassed to call themselves Republicans, then call moderate Republicans RINO's.

And what are dems like former Senator Zell Miller or Rep Heath Schuler called? DINOS?

BTW I am a Republican and have no problem admitting such.

In nearly every post you make you lie. Why is that?

I have never said, suggested or implied I'm not a registered Democrat. I have said I don't always agree with some Democratic policies or individual Democrats, and in 1980 I voted for John Anderson. Carter had lost the confidence of the American People and as a resident of CA I watched Reagan's 'performance' as Gov. of CA and was appalled.

I don't know if you know but lying so often can be a sign of mental illness.
