Pissed off about progress with North Korea? You might be a partisan hack.

What do you put the odds at that NK hands over their nukes?

better than iran.
In Iran we had inspections, clear goals, and signed binding agreements with many other nations involved.

The substanceless reality show we just went through has none of that.

LOL, obozo gave Iran billions of dollars and got nothing in return, their nuke program continues today with our money, they continue to fund terrorism with our money, thanks obozo you fricken traitor.
Nobody gave Iran any money.

Their nuclear program was verifiably stopped.

The Great tRumpkin has now given the free reign to pursue the bomb.

NK already has bombs and all tRump did was use them for a photo op.

are you living under a rock? Obama sent billions of dollars and euros on pallets to Iran on a secret plane. That is an established fact. Iran has continued to develop nukes using our money thanks to obozo the muslim from Kenya.

We will see what happens to NK's nukes, if they remain, L'il Kim is gone and he knows that.
I reiterate: nobody gave Iran any money. Look it up.

In case you haven't read and ignored this before, it was their money that we seized in 1979, and had been sitting on ever since. As part of the agreement, we gave it back. It was never our money.
you'd fart out a black hole in anger if trump did this.

what else did iran do in 1979 that caused all the shit to go down to begin with?
They got pissed at us for overthrowing their 2000 year old government.

US sent plane with $400 million in cash to Iran - CNNPolitics

From CNN

The Obama administration secretly arranged a plane delivery of $400 million in cash on the same day Iran released four American prisoners and formally implemented the nuclear deal, US officials confirmed Wednesday.

Notice the difference between Trump and Obama. Obama's lame half measures on Iran kicking the nuclear can down the road vs Trump total denuclearization of NK. Poor Obama president Trump schools him again. :auiqs.jpg:
Please show me the denuclearization deal tRump has with NK.

Here ya go...

"Convinced that the establishment of new U.S.-DPRK relations will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula and of the world, and recognizing that mutual confidence building can promote the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:

  1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.
  2. The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.
  3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
  4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified."
Of course the term "denuclearization" requires clarification because it's unclear whether or not the DPRK defines the term that same way as the U.S. defines it and this agreement is vague with respect to details like the specific steps to be taken, the timetable and so forth, but it's a start.
It's not anything but hot air. There's nothing there.

Can you at least attempt to be rational? Just for a change of pace.....
There's nothing there. Similar agreements were signed in 1994, 2003, and 2005 and the NKs never stood by any of them. We also managed to get those signed without giving any major concessions. This is nothing more than hot air. A photo op. Two of the biggest liars on the planet just signed an agreement with no specifics, no timetable, and no realistic goals.

Woohoo.

That isn't true according to the nuclear inspectors themselves.

What nuclear inspectors?
IAEA.

Surely you've heard of them?

Verification and Monitoring in Iran | IAEA

Yes.

Never trusted them.
Lol, who do you think will be overseeing the unlikely denuclearization of the Korean peninsula?

Americans primarily, and others.
Wrong-o kiddo! It will be the IAEA.

Hmmm, if I recall, before the meeting Trump said he'd walk away if he didn't feel there would be a deal. I don't recall him saying there would be a deal, feel free to post a link though.

US sent plane with $400 million in cash to Iran - CNNPolitics

From CNN

The Obama administration secretly arranged a plane delivery of $400 million in cash on the same day Iran released four American prisoners and formally implemented the nuclear deal, US officials confirmed Wednesday.
From that very same CNN story you just linked, right there:

The $400 million was Iran's to start with, placed into a US-based trust fund to support American military equipment purchases in the 1970s. When the Shah was ousted by a 1979 popular uprising that led to the creation of the Islamic Republic, the US froze the trust fund. Iran has been fighting for a return of the funds through international courts since 1981.

It wasn't our money.

Give credit where it is due. This is a good thing.
They will not. They will celebrate every disappointment and downplay every victory.

That's what partisans do. That's who they are. It is what it is.
.

Well, you have to actually convince me this is a "good thing". It's becoming more and more obvious this was a true nothingburger. Maybe worse.

Kim Got-
A lifting of sanctions
International recognition on the world stage
A promise to end joint military excercises
A photo op that his Propaganda Ministry will be milking for months.

Trump got - um, a vague promise we know Kim's going to renege on. Not that Trump has any place to complain, given he's reneged on the Iran deal.

Stormy Mac's Reponse to save us all Time: "See, See mean Old Partisans bring reality to my all wise threads!!!"

The title of this thread would have been appropriate during the Obama administration, too.

Trump gets credit for any progress. Obama would have too.

This partisan crap is so childish, we should be beyond this.

The difference is, Obama came out with actual agreements and didn't give our enemies photo ops...

And yes, the right did criticize him for it anyway... And some of those criticisms were actually Valid, Stormy Mac.

So, no, we shouldn't be beyond asking legitimate questions about whether an agreement is a good one or whether or not we can trust the other side or whether or not we gave away too much.

Remember that and all things leading up to it.

Wow... that was so off topic that I'm not even sure where to do with it.

North Korea isn't the Japanese Empire.

It's an impoverished little country that has built half-ass nukes....

And the Orange Shitgibbon has just elevated them.

Just remember- in Trump Cult land.

Canada Bad.
North Korea Good.

A year ago the pundits & talking heads, people that couldn’t do the job before, were begging for conciliation and peace - “please meet, don’t go to war.” Now that we meet and have a great relationship with Kim Jong Un, the same haters shout out, “you shouldn’t meet, do not meet!”

Nobody told him to meet and give away the store.

We actually thought he would do it the right way, have his underlings hammer out all the details of an agreement before we gave anything up.
