What brings this issue to the forefront and international attention, is the Stand Your Ground law. There are many that see it as a dangerous law that gives murderers a free pass, and this case looks to be the one that forces the discussion.

personally, I think Zommerman broke the Stand Your ground law, so the argument is stupid, but as soon as we get passed the Black/White screaming, the screaming will begin about the Stand Your Ground law...unless of course we have a brief and stupid screaming match about gun control - Zimmermans gun was completely legal so gun control/laws wouldnt have prevented this....so the only "solution" would be an unconstitutional gun grab.
