I get taxed plenty because the cost of government is too high. Everybody in America gets taxed too much. It is over 40% of the GNP and it hits all of us some way. You don't fix the problem by reshuffling the deck of winners and losers. You fix the problem by cutting down on government spending so that nobody has to be taxed so much.

The underlying problem of poverty is that we have created a welfare state that discourages productivity and rewards an individual being a ward of the state.
