The Senate Democrats want to end the Senate Filibuster. These are the same Democrat Senators that in the past have publicly, on more than one occasion, insisted that the Filibuster was an extremely important necessity to ensure that the minority party in the Senate have a voice and thus a way to temper the discussions on bills/topics brought before it. Biden, Schumer, Sanders and Harris are just a few of the Senators that insisted that the Filibuster must stay.
Suddenly, now that the so-called Democrat Party dominates all three houses, it's their way or the highway and a goal of no longer having a multi-party system in the nation, ensuring that by introducing a bill to take away state's election rights and placing it solely in the realm of the federal government.

Common sense vote reform: Only US citizens with government confirmed ID can vote and using technology like "block chain" or something can track their vote and insure it was counted correctly.

Democrat vote reform: Illegal aliens with no ID can vote at least once, various unsecure methods of voting is good because some non-Whites cannot find polling facilities or are intimidated by White Supremacists roaming the streets, and of course non-Whites act as intermediaries to physically handle ballots as needed.
