I think it's the word you use when you've forgotten how to spell 'subsequent'

English, means forward, front, closer to the head. Not really proper these days except to describe anatomy e.g. "left, anterior, descending artery of the heart" describes the cardiac artery on the left, front of the heart, descending from the aorta.
