It doesn't matter because children cannot give consent. In fact, I suspect our age of consent laws will rise in the near future. In fact, I am QUITE sure of it. Some states have already done this and raised ages of consent to 18. I believe eventually that will be the case across the board, especially considering the newest evidence that show a child's brain is not fully developed or functioning on full capacity until they are into their early 20s.

Problem with that is some are accused of being pedophiles but are not, and so you would be brutally murdering innocent people to satisfy a blood lust.

I do not think pedophilia should be a capital crime unless it involves murder or aggravated rape. Otherwise prison is the appropriate penalty. For murder and aggravated rape are fairly easy to prove, other crimes associated with pedophilia are not ... for example a woman accusing her boyfriend of inappropriately touching her child ... you can't as a civil society be killing people for that kind of thing.

I think 14/15 is too young for sex, and if it is sex with someone who is older and therefore able to take advantage of their less mature brains, it is a crime.
