Snub: Russians refuse to shake Obama's hand

Never would you cheer a Russian over the POTUS before, but somehow it is en vogue in Conservistan for this President.

Who isn't an empty suit in the GOP field?
No, we've never had a president that hates america, more than than the Russians hate us.

Boy you really love swallowing talking points hook line and sinker.
No talking point just the truth. Why does Obama apologize for the greatness of the united states?
He apologized for the arrogance of the Bush administration. First thing you need to do when you are trying to mend fences

No, that was totally inappropriate. He is no less arrogant, IMO.
Our allies feel differently

Yes after Obama they do. I am glad he put his red crayon back in the box though. Almost got us in trouble the way he ran away from that one.

The President's Apology Tour

Meanwhile, the desire for popularity has led Mr. Obama to embrace bad policies. Blaming America for the world financial crisis led him to give into European demands for crackdowns on tax havens and hedge funds. Neither had much to do with the credit crisis. Saying that America's relationship with Russia "has been allowed to drift" led the president to push for arms negotiations. But that draws attention away from America's real problems with Russia: its invasion of Georgia last summer, its bullying of Ukraine, its refusal to join in pressuring Iran to give up its nuclear ambitions, and its threats of retaliation against the Poles, Balts and Czechs for standing with the U.S. on missile defense.

Mr. Obama is downplaying the threats we face. He takes comfort in thinking that Venezuela has a defense budget that "is probably 1/600th" of America's -- it's actually 1/215th -- but that hasn't kept Mr. Chávez from supporting narcoterrorists waging war on Colombia (a key U.S. ally) or giving petrodollars to anti-American regimes. Venezuela isn't likely to attack the U.S., but it is capable of harming American interests.

Henry Kissinger wrote in his memoir "Years of Renewal": "The great statesmen of the past saw themselves as heroes who took on the burden of their societies' painful journey from the familiar to the as yet unknown. The modern politician is less interested in being a hero than a superstar. Heroes walk alone; stars derive their status from approbation. Heroes are defined by inner values; stars by consensus. When a candidate's views are forged in focus groups and ratified by television anchorpersons, insecurity and superficiality become congenital."

A superstar, not a statesman, today leads our country. That may win short-term applause from foreign audiences, but do little for what should be the chief foreign policy preoccupation of any U.S. president: advancing America's long-term interests.

Slimy Russian doesn't want to shake the President's hand? Advantage Obama.

Its amazing how you guys have grown to hate the US just because a black man is the President. I honestly don't know how you can look at yourselves in the mirror.

Are you looking forward to being this sour for 8 more years during Hillary's terms?

then they'll call themselves patriots while rooting for the commies. lol

anything to fulfill their prayers that this president is as embarrassing as baby bush was ....unfortunately, for the obama deranged loons, there is nothing worse for this country or more embarrassing than baby bush was. the wingers just substitute their delusions for reality.

Obama is making our allies assume a greater military role in regional conflicts....sound foreign policy

He also listens to our allies and takes into account their concerns and risks.......something an arrogant Bush would never do

That is why our own allies Germany, Canada, France refused to back Bush on his Iraq boondoggle

I despise USA.INC but feel sorry for the indentured debts laves of this country. Your limited knowledge of how things really work is typical for a limp-wristed dimcrat that doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. This is why I like the internet...where else can you delve into the mindset of a leftard loser while being spared of having to share the same airspace? I don't like neocons or RINOs either but I have a special place of hate in my heart for the pseudo-liberal that like a festering sore has infected this country. It doesn't matter which candidate is selected by the CFR and Tri-Lateral commission, nothing is going to get better for the middle class...you can etch that in stone.
