Solution to school Shootings

What law would prevent them? Remember, they're already in the mindset to kill children so something tells me they're not really going to respect yet another law making it illegal for them to have a gun. Reminds me of the Monty Python skit about the thieves who wouldn't break the law.

Your post is completely devoid of any logic at all. The rest of the first world, doesn't have a law which allows just anyone to buy a high capacity magazine weapon of mass death like an AR15 or similar weapon. If they can't get the gun, they're not going to mow down 30 kids.

We all have people who are mentally ill, violent and crazy, but we don't have mass school shootings because we don't sell these people guns.

We also have laws preventing just anyone from purchasing a "high capacity magazine weapon of mass death like an AR15 or similar weapon". Maybe if you acquainted yourself with the actual situation instead of relying on a few headlines...

Here's a thought experiment for you, only to be undertaken if you're honest. The US has had guns readily available for hundreds of years, basically since they began being manufactured and sold, but our gun laws have recently become more restrictive and gun free zones more prevalent. Given your mindset, that SHOULD mean that gun violence was a bad problem throughout our history until recently and should be becoming ever less of an issue as guns are restricted more and more. Is that the case? NO. Kids used to bring guns to school with them and hunt on the way home. No one took those guns and started shooting other kids. We used to have shooting classes in schools. Again, no one took those guns and started shooting other kids, so what changed?

It's not the guns.

You don't need an AR15 to "mow down" 10-20-30 helpless people, kids or otherwise.
And there's nothing you can to do prevent someone from getting an AR15.

There are no such gun laws here in Missouri. In fact Missouri laws punish police for enforcing federal gun laws.

St. Louis school shooter was flagged in FBI background check but was still able to legally purchase a gun and police couldn't take it away as his parents begged them to during multiple calls leading up to him shooting 9 students & teachers.

We had guns in my school here in Missouri until 1980's when a suicidal classmate pulled his on us in the bathroom threatening to kill us while holding us at gunpoint.

The lack of gun law has made Missouri the gun murder capital of the USA.

If he were able to legally able to purchase a gun, he would have passed the background check.

and police couldn't take it away as his parents begged them to during multiple calls leading up to him shooting 9 students & teachers.

If he was unable to legally own the gun, the police could have taken it, and him, away.

Police are banned from enforcing federal gun law

When 19-year-old Orlando Harris first tried to purchase a gun from a licensed dealer, the background check blocked the sale, St. Louis Metropolitan Police Sgt. Charles Wall said Thursday. But Harris could still legally buy the rifle from a private individual who had bought the firearm from a licensed dealer in 2020, Wall said.

Harris’s family had been worried about his mental health, so when his mother found the rifle in their home, the family contacted police, authorities said.

Missouri does not have a so-called “red flag law” which would allow police to confiscate a person’s gun if they are at risk of causing harm to themselves or others.

But not state law.
MO state law mirrors federal law as far as who can and cannot legally own a firearm.

This is false.
If it illegal for your to own a gun , it does not matter who you buy it from - the purchase is illegal.

So you are calling St. Louis Metropolitan Police Sgt. Charles Wall a liar?

Note the edit to my post.
I stated a fact.
The fact you do not undertsand the law here does not mean that anyone lied.
If the buyer is a prohibited person, it is -always- illegal for him to purchase a gun.
If the seller does not have reason to believe the buyer is a prohibited person, it is legal for him to sell the gun.
The purchase was illegal, the sale (may have been) was legal.

Wrong....you don't have as many school shootings because your nuts don't choose to do them......

Virginia Tech Shooting....32 killed, no AR-15 was used, he used 2 pistols...

Luby's Cafe.....24 killed, no AR-15 was used, he used 2 pistols...

Russian Polytechnic School shooting, 20 killed with a pump action shotgun....72 injured.....didn't need an AR-15 for that you doofus.

The Kerch Polytechnic College massacre was a school shooting and bomb attack that occurred in Kerch, Crimea, on 17 October 2018. 18-year-old student Vladislav Roslyakov killed 20 people and wounded 67 others before committing suicide. It became the second deadliest school shooting in Europe, surpassing the Dunblane massacre.

It isn't the gun that creates the body count, it is how long it takes for a good guy to start shooting back at the killer.......you idiot.

Wrong....if he didn't pass the backgrond check and was barred from buying a gun, the police could take the gun away from him......you doofus.

Missouri isn't the murder capitol....you idiot.....that belongs to each of the cities controlled by the democrat party....

You are a lying piece of shit.......

So St. Louis police arranged for Harris’s rifle to be given to “a third party known to the family” so it could be stored outside the home, police said in a statement to CNN affiliate KMOV.

It don't say police arrested Harris or took his gun prior to school shooting!

They only convinced him to give his gun to a family friend.
