I understand your concern, the problem is the federal government is absolutely the worst possible vessel for doing good in this country for anything. The federal government is owned by career politicians, who are only looking to win the next election for themselves and/or their party. The problem is the federal government is about the worst possible choice in the "fairness" race, you do know career politicians on the federal government? But you think the federal government is the right vessel in making things all right in the world??This country is only been around short-term in the grand scheme of things, over the last hundred plus years Socialism has taken it's toll. Long-term Socialism has 100% failure rate...
In other words the country is fucked… LOL

Sure, if we stopped giving aid to foreign countries and kept that money at home to help our own, we would be doing fine. Also, cutting corporate welfare. More power to the people! Less power to the corporate shills!
In the world? No. In our country? Sure, I have no problem with helping out the poor with my taxpayer dollars. As my link earlier indicated, charitable contributions were not enough. If we want to increase crime and poverty and sickness and death, then we would eliminate social services supports.

Forcing anyone to do anything against their will "all for the good of the people" is delusional…
Only good charity is a chosen charity, a forced charity would not be a charity at all would it??
Before the welfare system came into being, during the depression (like in the link I posted that you obviously did not read), there were not nearly enough charitable donations to help the poor. People were destitute and especially children paid the price. THAT is why the welfare system was created. Don't understand why you people have such a "horror" at helping out the poor people. You are a bunch of assholes.
I'd love to help out people in need I just don't think it's necessary to go through the federal government, in fact I think it's a travesty to do so…
