It would seem to be a very basic issue for a conservative. I'm liberal and I don't like it. Maybe it isn't a conservative/liberal issue. It's a human rights issue, IMO. As a liberal I can see the "for the better good" aspect of bridges and roads, but doing it for private gain because someone with enough money can ram it through the courts smacks of class privilege.
