Trump's lawyers should make a motion to dismiss the indictment for failure to state a crime.

They will absolutely make a motion to dismiss the indictment. The indictment (as it stands) is defective.

The People will get a chance to specify (in their bill of particulars) which underlying crime they are alleging in the indictment. But that’s a minefield, too. And I’m not sure the prosecution fully grasps the dangers.

It seems to be that Bragg is claiming that when Trump entered the payment for the NDA on the wrong line, he influenced the election. The problem is….he entered that AFTER the election.

Even most Democrats see this for what it is - a witch-hunt over nothing. Trump has been strengthened by this.

There isn’t one. Trump is allowed to give anyone he wants some of his money, as long as it’s part of a legal transaction. An NDA is perfectly legal.
