Thieves are stealing EV charging cables...

If they cannot get this under control o it will be the death knell of EV vehicles.



I read awhile back that thieves smash the locking mechanism on the car with a hammer to get the cable out. So you have no cable and a damaged car.

Also, some just list the cable on eBay to get more money than scrap value. So folk might end up getting theirs back through the post at a cost!!

What percentage of charging stations have been disabled by these thieves? Is it as great a percentage as the number of gas stations whose pumps have had scanners snuck on to them?
