Trump hit with criminal charges in New York, a first for a US ex-president -New York Times

I was just reading this morning that the startling change in polls from last month to this putting Trump much farther ahead than he already was ------------ is believed to be because Republicans are angry at these Banana Republic tactics by the Democrats. The end of the piece cited the "bad-tempered" one-word campaign ruin Hilary Clinton uttered near the end of her campaign: deplorables.
Trump's favorability has certainly increased with me, and this political weaponization makes me more likely to vote for him. He'd be even more effective at draining the swamp in a 2nd term, and boy will he be ticked.

That is cuter than words! Did you do this one too?

There was two years to bring that charge. Then the statute of limitations ran.

If he used campaign funds you're wrong, it's 5.

Currently, there is a five-year statute of limitations for both criminal and civil violations of federal campaign finance law. As a result, a wrongdoer can escape consequences if their campaign finance violations are only uncovered years later.
