TRUMP in trouble in Pennsylvania! Won't win it in 2020!

After the GOP senate and Trump beat the crap out of the House Dem's over the next 2 years Dem's will be no condition to make threats.

I’m going to do my part, like I did the last go around. Love the YouTube montage of Trump can’t win, starring the dumbest, narcissistic, egomaniacal, douche bags, looking like what they are. Dims have no one, and no plans for improvement. The blue puddle.

Trump is so weak, it won't matter who the Democrats nominate. Trump's victory in 2016 was based on VERY fragile wins in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. The Democrats left the back door open. They won't make that mistake again. Without those states, Trump is toast. That's just the electoral math.

Trump can lose all three of those states and still win by picking up just one other state. Your math sucks!

Then again, so do most of your posts!

But that's the thing, there are no other states that Trump can pick up than those he won in 2016. If you think otherwise, name the state and I'll explain why Trump can't win there in 2020.

Maybe apply for a job with one of the lib stations. God knows they can use some help. You do remember how badly it hurt the last time you lost? You also remember all those polls and predictions. Wow, what a shock. How did we predict so wrong, all those political genius’s said. Frankly, who cares what you predict for 2020. If the witch would have won, the whole country would be as bad off as California. Who knows what wars we would be in right now. Fortunately, the economy is strong, and we have someone who not a pushover. We’re not losing any Republican votes. Now we have such amazing stories like Obozo’s wife being butt hurt about absolutely nothing. She can basically sit on her ass for the rest of her life and be catered to, and provided security and luxury for the rest of her life. Can’t wait to see the lineup of morons for 2020.

People get lucky when they win the lottery. Trump got lucky in when he won the election in 2016. Its fun and surprising to be lucky and win something not expected. Its not a good idea to use that as a template for predicting the future.

Even though I 100% correctly predicted the 2016 election, I wouldn’t write Trump off quite yet.

However, if the Dems flip PA MI and WI, they will win in 2020.

Of course, Democrats being Democrats, they’ll find a way to blow it.

The only way Trump wins is if a viable third party candidate runs and hurts the Democratic candidate more than Trump in drawing votes away.

This would be an example of the perfect storm for Trump and the only way he could get re-elected. Joe Biden is the Democratic nominee, while Bernie Sanders splits off and runs an entirely independent campaign. This would split off a lot of progressives from the Democrats, enough that the Democratic candidate would not be able to win in the general election. I don't think Bernie Sanders would do that though, but if another third party progressive were to generate a viable independent campaign run in 2020, Trump would have a chance to win the election then.

No threats, just an election in 2020 after which Mr. Trump will be packing his bags to leave the White House in January 2021.

Yep, that's right, the 2018 election spells trouble for Trump in Pennsylvania based on the voting results of votes for the Democrats VS. votes for the Republican.

Here is the break down of votes for Governor, Senator, and the Representatives Republican VS. Democrat.

Governor: Winner Tom Wolf (D)
Democrat votes: 2,852,539 - 57.6% of the vote
Republican votes: 2,022,348 - 40.8% of the vote

Senator: Winner Bob Casey (D)
Democrats votes: 2,747,345 - 55.6% of the vote
Republican votes: 2,116,110 - 42.8% of the vote

Representatives: 9 (D) - 9 (R)
Democrat votes: 2,677,130 - 55.1% of the vote
Republican votes: 2,183,180 - 44.9% of the vote

Despite the split in the wins for Representatives, 9 to 9, overall the Democrats got nearly a half a million more votes than Republicans.

Here is what the 2016 Presidential results were:
Trump: 2,970,733 - 48.17% of the vote
Clinton: 2,926,441 - 47.46%

Trump won Pennsylvania by a mere 44,292 votes.

Based on the results of the voting in 2018, Trump will lose Pennsylvania by between 5 and 10 percentage points. The Democrat challenger will get at least 50%, and Trump won't get above 45%.

With Pennsylvania going Blue in 2020, so will Wisconsin and Michigan since the results in those states were even tighter wins for Trump in 2016. That means the BLUE WALL of 18 democratic states has been restored after the tiny breach in 2016. Those 18 states have 248 ELECTORAL Votes. Democrats will then easily get to 270 with Virginia(13 EVs) and Colorado(9 EVs) which they both beat Trump in last time by 5 percentage points each.

Trump is done! A one term President. He will lose Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan and will not pick up any other states that he lost last time to make up for losing those three states in 2020.
The numbers are promising but it is way too early to make any assumptions about Trump’s chances.

That’s legitimately amusing. Not as much as you voting for Hillary....... You could always move to Canada when he wins in 2020.

So what will the dems run on in 2020? Raising unemployment? Raising taxes? Putting people back on welfare?

By all means, tell me what the dems will run on that will make so many Americans flock in their direction. What is their platform? What is their message? I mean besides "hate Trump no matter what." I think it'll need to be deeper than that to win back the presidency.

Healthcare, National Security, Russia, and the national debt. More than enough there to run on. Plus, they don't need so many Americans to flock in their direction. Just a small number in three states and its OVER for Trump. Remember, Trump lost the popular vote, as an approval rating of 38% this week, and 40% on average these last two years. Most people don't like Trump and will not vote for him. Those are difficult problems for him to overcome in 2020.

I am proud to say I was born and raised in one of those blue wall states. Not any. of the ones you mentioned. My state's electoral votes went to Hillary in 2016. In fact my state's electoral votes haven't gone to a republican in 34 years. I'm very proud of that fact.

I sure hope you're right about all that. America can't take 4 more years of that man.

The numbers are promising but it is way too early to make any assumptions about Trump’s chances.

If Trump had won the popular vote in 2016 as well as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan by moderate to large margins + had at least a 50% approval rating at this point, I would agree that it would be premature to be making assumptions. But that's not the case. Only a third party run that splits the Democrat vote will get Trump re-elected in 2020.

Former gov. Randell said as much recently. Let’s not forget Pennsylvania was reapportioned with a democratic template right before the election.2 years is an eternity in politics and it is not inconceivable that the Dems will overplay their hand in investigations and Trump will receive an underdog vote.

Since I live here In PA let me set a couple of things straight about this past election. The GOP nominated a jerk in Scott Wagner, I even left the vote for Gov blank. As for the senate race the Casey name still carries a lot clout even if Casey Jr is a total empty suit. Don't bother adding house race vote totals since the city of Philadelphia tips the count in favor the dems in total votes. As for 2020, we have all heard this dem bs before. Lets see where we are in 22 months or so. Keep on spinning.

Sorry, but there is NOTHING you can take from these election results in Pennsylvania that is positive for Trump! NOTHING.

Former gov. Randell said as much recently. Let’s not forget Pennsylvania was reapportioned with a democratic template right before the election.2 years is an eternity in politics and it is not inconceivable that the Dems will overplay their hand in investigations and Trump will receive an underdog vote.

That sort of thinking ignores the reality of the political map, electoral college history, Trumps margins of victory in 2016, and his average approval rating after two years which is only 40%. Unless, Trumps approval rating gets above 46% for a consistent period of time, he does not stand a chance of winning. Presidents don't win re-election when a significant majority of people, outside the margin of error in polls, disapprove of their job performance.

They will run on health care, security, the horrible tax cuts for the rich and that horrible trade policy that trump has forced on the world. Specifically his tariffs. They're destroying our farmers and a lot of manufacturing.

That 12 billion in socialism that trump gave to certain farmers is gone and won't be renewed. Those farmers are already hurting and it's going to get worse.

Manufacturing has been taking a beating for decades now they have to deal with higher costs to produce their products because of those tariffs.

There's going to be a lot for democrats to run on in 2020.

What is trump going to run on? Fake invasions by refugees, lies and hate? So far that's all he has in his playbook and that's not working anymore.

By the way, we haven't heard much of that "invasion" since the election is over have we? Could it be that trump's only concern with it was how much he can gain political points from it? No, that can't be. He would never play you for fools like that.

Would he?

I keep waiting for the republicans to present a candidate that doesn't make me run in horror from them but they still haven't.

I've seen republican presidents get progressively worse since Eiesnhower, I was born in his last year of office.

I knew that the next republican president was going to be worse than the bush boy but I had no idea how much worse and how quickly it would happen.

I just hope he doesn't do too much more damage to our nation.

Impeachment and removal is still an option to limit the damage. But then winning the Presidency will be harder in 2020, because whoever the Republicans pick will be better than Trump if he is removed from office.

What changed is Republicans. Trump is in charge of the Republican party and is ruining the Republican brand. The number of people who are registered as Republicans has declined over the past two years. Not a good sign. Trump over the past two years has lost most of the female vote. Females will vote nearly 2 to 1 for the Democrat candidate over Trump in 2020. Most voters are female. Do the math.

Trumps victory in 2016 was the weakest victory in United States Presidential election history. His dismal approval rating since the election have only made his prospects worse. All the data, except the economy, point to defeat for Trump in 2020.

I am proud to say I was born and raised in one of those blue wall states. Not any. of the ones you mentioned. My state's electoral votes went to Hillary in 2016. In fact my state's electoral votes have to gone to a republican in 34 years. I'm very proud of that fact.

I sure hope you're right about all that. America can't take 4 more years of that man.

Trust me, he will not be re-elected. I'm a Republican myself, but voted straight Democrat last Tuesday.

I've been a registered Independent since 1978 when I first registered to vote.

Removal is not an option.
