Trump indictment would be a gift to Republicans

Republicans can’t accept that the voters rejected their message or they ran unelectable candidates

Better to claim you were cheated
What other option is there? A meaningful self assessment of the garbage reasoning and profound failures in judgment that results in picking a newcaster with zero experience to lead an entire state?

Not a chance.

A Trump indictment would be a gift for Trump.

Trump supporters don't believe he is guilty of any crime, so an indictment would only reinforce their belief that the DOJ is just out to get their candidate and prevent voters from choosing the president.

Trump is running unopposed in the primary, so why not wait for him to be the nominee and indict him then?

It really doesn't matter. If Trump runs, he's the weakest candidate that the GOP could field. If Trump loses, he takes the GOP with him.

He's what guarantees the Biden a second term if he runs. Or any democrat a victory if they are nominated instead.

Trump does horribly with independents. And with almost half of the electorate refusing to vote for Trump under any circumstances, Trump will need almost all of them to win.

Trump is the worst case scenario for Republicans as their nominee. And their worst case scenario if he isn't.

And I get to sit back and watch the GOP burn, never having to lift a finger. They're reaping what they've sown.
well said ... they are their own worst enemy
