Nobody's at fault. The OP asked why, and the reason is Ken Burns ask him to read the Nicolay (copy not the Bliss copy) . No grand anti-Christian designs. I know it doesn't fit the narrative coming out of the Echo-Chamber. The President certainly has invoked the name of "God" many many times during his tenure as President.

At the actual monument at Gettysburg, it is there........UNDER GOD............

Lincoln did utter those words as he was making reference to the Declaration Of Independence that clearly referenced GOD. 5 of the 9 versions of that speech contained it.

He didnt omit anything, he delivered the speech Lincoln game not the one that was added to a year later. So he actually was thinking of history and not adding something that was NOT said that day.
