Bummer.
Was hoping it would nail further north. Passing too far south of us.

Actually looking forward to snow.
Ready for the snowmobile season, nothing but dry ground and cold. Lakes are freezing up nice though. Ice fishing shacks going up on local small lakes already.

What are the first and last pickup-through-the-ice dates?

It depends on lake and whether in northern part of state or south, being a couple weeks earlier. Local towns have contests to predict when their car will drop through in spring. Usually a charity raffle.
A few losers every year who lose their own ride throughout the season.

Oops.
I prefer not to use my vehicle and tow a portable fish house behind a snowmobile.
Many lake resorts do plow and check roads daily. Venturing off the roads can get hairy.
