Well it didn't take the screamer long to get his lawyers lined up

Yes, the Police State you applaud doesn't want witnesses.
Is that the Police State you want to impose to disarm the public?

Because...to you...it's the same thing, right?
You're shooting the messenger, dude. I'm just telling you what they'll do. Since you don't fly, why not focus on Greyhound passenger rights?
You are the one supporting a Police state.....you are going all in in support of corporate jack booted thugs. Yay Authority!

A police state!!! Lol!!! What a fucking moron.
Sieg Heil, Mein Herr.

Agreed. For some reason, Bodecea is on some kind of "Occupy the Airlines" kick here, but then admits he won't be flying this year.
I love how you can only pretend to have a point if you totally misrepresent everything about this issue and what others here say. I guess you get your little "victories" anyway you can thru alternative facts.

United is at fault

They had no business removing paying passengers once they were seated. When Republic called and said they needed four seats, United should have just said .....too late, we have already boarded

Yes, and that's great that this stupid practice is now likely to end.

HOWEVER, until that happens, how about acting like the rest of us grown-ups and not fucking up the day for everyone else.

Of course, I keep forgetting that the universe orbits around this one asshole paseenger.

Bullshit
Acting like a grownup means the airline realizes that kicking off people who need to reach their destination that day was going to cause trouble

Blame the airline for provoking the disturbance, not the passengers for being disturbed
Easier and cheaper to just cancel the flight.

So your solution is to cancel a fully loaded flight ready to take off just because Republic employees showed up at the gate without calling in advance?

Republic should have been told.....Sorry, too late, the flight has already boarded

Disagreed, but conversely, your constant rants about "police state", socialism and the like are juvenile.

Even the know-it-all RWNJs in this thread would behave even more strangely if they were attacked, beaten unconscious, sustained a broken nose, fractured sinuses, two teeth knocked out ...

A concussion IS a brain injury and usually causes confusion and agitations.
Nice political rant, but note that I said his behavior was erratic before the fracas with the third police officer.

I have not seen video that indicates that.

Post it.

Even if he was, there was still no reason, no excuse for beating him so severely that he will need reconstructive surgery.

I don't understand why you know-it-all continue to defend the indefensible. If you say you would feel the same if it had been YOUR parents or grand parents, you are lying.

A flight was going to have to be canceled either way. Better to cancel that one than the morning one since the morning one would cost the airline connections.

Why you can't seem to understand that 1) these were both Republic flights and Republic crews and 2) that it was a last minute change, not a scheduled one?

No it wasn't

There was no "last minute change".... four employees do not magically show up at the gate without being ordered to do so. Just to get to the gate would have taken a half hour or more. Sufficient time to call ahead to hold four seats BEFORE the flight was boarded

You keep claiming this crew replacement was out of the control of the airline. They obviously did have control. Having four unplanned passengers showing up without notice is not good management

A small plane capable of holding four passengers could have been obtained to fly 300 miles. They chose to make the passengers pay for their management ineptness

You know this how?

Fine, believe as you wish, but I know for a fact that airlines have crewmembers on standby at airports and those crewmembers can be at a gate within a few minutes.

Again, let's see this play out in court.

Well, that's an effective argument...I can see why jackbooted authority figures appeal to you.

Bottom line is that a paying passenger was assaulted and severely injured.

For no reason.

Yep, had he simply acted like us grown-ups and complied, then sued later, the whole incident could have been avoided and everyone except this idiot would have gotten to their destinations on time. Instead the narcicistic dickhead threw his wittle tantrum.

Oh go blow it out your ass, this has nothing to do with authority.
I can picture you in a movie theatre acting up, and then when a usher came to escort you out, you'd explode in a tantrum and ruin everyone elses evening. Anything less according to you dork liberals would be cowardly.

The airline is at fault for having a system like this in the first place, but once the police come the adult thing to do is comply, then contemplate a lawsuit.
Instead we have the little three year old narcicistic go into his tantrum fucking up everyone elses flight.

Agreed. Summer travel season is coming up. Between the heat, delays and cancellations for weather and Dao's example, more idiots will "stand up for their rights" over the next few months causing even more delays as they are booted off flights. There will be a backlash against such people.

Initially reported as police because it says so on their uniforms. It appears Chicago is one of the few cities that uses "security" officers who work for the city. After this, that may change.
