What the Brat win and Cantor loss Shows Us

What "radical" is anti immigration?

I have no heard a single candidate on the right say they are anti immigration...Brat included.

Have any link of a valid politician on the right against immigration?

Tom Tancredo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tancredo introduced the Mass Immigration Reduction Act. The act would have imposed an indefinite moratorium on immigration to the United States. Under the act, only spouses and children of American citizens would be allowed to immigrate, which Tancredo estimated would amount to 300,000 immigrants annually.[8] The moratorium would last for at least the first five years of the act and, after that, until such time as there were fewer than 10,000 illegal immigrants entering per year. When those conditions were met, immigration would only have been allowed at whatever level the president and both houses of Congress agreed would have no adverse impact on wages, housing, the environment, or schools. When last introduced in 2003, the bill had 11 cosponsors. Organizations that have endorsed Tancredo's bill include: NumbersUSA, Population-Environment Balance, Carrying Capacity Network, Federation for American Immigration Reform, Negative Population Growth, and the American Patrol. Tancredo introduced the bill in 1999 (H. R. 41),[9] 2001 (H. R. 2712),[10] and 2003 (H. R. 946).[11] Tancredo did not re-introduce the bill in 2005. In 2007, he proposed an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to "establish English as the official language of the United States," (H.R. 19).[12]

2003?

I thought we were talking about this election cycle.

Shall I drag up some words of democrats over the past century?

That's not a century ago and you didn't put any time frame on your requirement.

You need more?

Texas Tea Party candidate Chris Mapp won?t apologize for anti-immigrant racial slur - Salon.com

“[Mapp] told this editorial board that ranchers should be allowed to shoot on sight anyone illegally crossing the border on to their land,” reads the editorial before noting that Mapp “referred to such people as ‘wetbacks.’”

That's a lovely bunch of folks you put in with, Jarhead.

The morning of sweet victory and as usual the foaming big mouths out in force whining like a biatch in heat. LOL For Eric Canter: Hahahahahahaha Hahahah hAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha Bwhahahahaha Hahahahahaha Don't tread on me.

My point was the the TEA Party is alive and well despite the leftist's best efforts. You couldn't see the point because your mind filtered it out.

It's "alive" because of Gerrymandering.

Republicans on a State level really shot themselves in the foot.

They Gerrymandered the worst of the worst to insure that Republicans always win.

Now?

The terrorists are all lumped together and have "power".

I suppose that's better than them shooting people..

it's alive because The People of Virginia saw through a lying two-faced RINO...

you lefties are totally unhinged.....'terrorists'....?

Brat stands for free markets....no amnesty.....states rights....no obummercare.....Christian morals....

if you think those things are 'extreme' you have gone off the deep end...:cuckoo:

Eric Cantor was never a Rino. He was more extreme right wing than the crybaby Speaker.

If I'm hiding I am surely doing a pathetic job. The buck stops here.

Concrete thinker? Apparently so. By hiding inside an ultra conservative box means you can't think outside that box, hence your mind is closed to outside ideas. Issues as far ranging as Immigration Reform; Taxation; Governance, Foreign and Domestic Policies; the rights of our citizens and spending deserve a panoptic review; the sagacious evaluate each and many others seeking to understand all the consequences, the negatives as well as the intended.

Those who hide in said box simply rely on ideology and are a dogmatic approach to everything, hence, decisions are decided by emotion not reason.

So, in other words, you have never taken the time to understand the conservative ideology. You do not have to agree with it, but if you understood it, you would not criticize it as you did.

You would simply say "it is not what is best for America"...

I don't agree with the progressive ideology. I understand it and respect it, but I do not believe it is what is best for America.

Try reading my post again. My response was not directed at conservatives, but at the set of those on the far far fringe of the political spectrum, those who do not think critically and rely on a preset, non pragmatic, ideological response to most issues.

A conservative holds opinions, many well thought out, but not in the extreme. For example, a conservative does not allow a leaking roof to destroy a home, s/he will repair the roof even if they need to go into debt.

Spoken by a leftist. No offense intended but this post alone proves how left of center Eric Cantor WAS. Everywhere you go this morning, leftists are bemoaning Eric Cantor as one of their own. It's too funny..

Bad sign for the communist party Obama is so desperately trying to prop up. And with the support he has been receiving from the rank and file of the Republican Party, Obama has had free reign to execute his disturbing agenda of ruling instead of governing from the Imperial Palace.

Virginia is just a bellwether of things to come. Americans who have not been assimilated into the Obama clan can clearly see this country, at the hands of Obama and the extreme left, has lost her way. I just have this sinking feeling that others throughout the world don't quite look to us with envy like the once did. In fact, in many cases I suspect they pity us for they know that America has become much like the countries that many, many flee from for a better way of life.

The Tea party is not going away. In fact, with the Cantor defeat, I have again sent money to Americans for Prosperity for they are the true lobbyist for reform.

The message is clear, The likes of Bohner, McCain, Alexander and Corker are on the clock. When the voting booths open again the people will deliver the verdict which is commensurate with support we have received from the Republican Party.

The Republicans are in over their heads and will pay the price at the polls for turning their backs on the American way.

What did Cantor and the crusty old apologist discover?

We're talking real change here

-Geaux

What they discovered was that continuing to gerrymander a district to make it more and more extreme can come back to bite you in the butt. It will send a clear message to politicians that they can no longer be seen to actually govern, which will simply make politicians even less popular. I think what we have just seen is the guarantee of a Democrat in the White House after 2016, because while you can create pockets of extremes the majority of American aren't. We'll have to wait and see what it does to the Senate.

Enlighten me, what did Cantor do which convinces you he is left of center?

Hopefully Brat doesn't shoot any police if he loses.

It's amazing these terrorists are being elected into anything.

Hopefully now that Virginia has a state democratic government it breaks up the terrorist hold on elections.
:cuckoo:

Sallow, you win the "Most Ridiculous Post" Award.

And just when I think you can't get any more ridiculous!:cuckoo:

Actually I cracked a beer open last night and was cracking up the entire time the results came in for this race. The republicans are eating their own AND creating a party VERY FEW will vote for...a party so damn extreme it will alienate EVEN MORE voters. Be my guest.Oh and this is coming from someone who USED TO vote straight republican ticket...from the time I was 18 until 2012. NEVER voted for a democrat now I refuse to vote for any republican I know. Give me a moderate republican who cares about the poor and education and is still pro gun and pro life ya got my vote.

Extreme is breaking the laws of the United States and freeing the very enemy who has slaughtered Americans, negotiating with terrorists who are now more emboldened than ever to kidnap Americans. Extreme is a sitting US President who has invited the enemy in to the WH while trashing our allies in the same breath. Extreme are you radical leftists who have waited for decades to destroy the very fabric of a free American and are using the Marxist N Chief to do it.

No such thing as enlightening you.. however, supporting gun control and rationalizing ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, supporting it.. Just two to begin with.. You act as though you had some personal stake in Eric Cantors primary.. lol Another example of a leftist who is whining this morning over Cantors loss.

I just as soon let the Dems continue to call the shots that are driving us into the crapper. Meanwhile, the Tea Party has work to do cleaning our own house first. We have to start voting out the internal cancer within the Republican party before we can worry about larger roles.

Enjoy for now Dems

I admit I don't really understand politics, so these may be dumb questions: It looks like you're saying that you realize that the GOP may very well not do well in the next X election cycles as it marginalizes the more moderate elements of its party (assuming that happens). Okay, I can see that. So, two questions:

So the plan would be to create a more identifiable, less divided party, one that far more resembles the current Tea Party and moves away from/jettisons the establishment?

The goal would then be to make the party more palatable to the electorate over some period of time?

Also, do you think most in the Tea Party agree with you, or are there many who think they can win in general elections right now?

.

The point is that there is very little difference between the GOP and the Denocrats now. The GOP needs to offer an actual alternative to the progressives, and if the American people won't vote for that then we are done as a free country.

They are ALL radical.

And anti-Constitutional.

As well as anti-American.

1. Free Markets - The American Economy prospered the most after the New Deal. Well Regulated Markets work best. A trusted market insures investment and longevity.

2. No "Amnesty" - America is an immigrant nation primarily concerned the rights and well being of people. It's ridiculous to kick out kids and people who came here to find a better life, work hard and are willing to play by the rules.

3. "States" rights - That was decided during the Whiskey Rebellion and the Civil War. The Constitution says the Federal Government, which is a creation of the Constitution, is Supreme.

4. ObamaCare - Passed through 2 houses of Congress and survived a Supreme Court challenge, as well as 50 attempts to repeal. It is the law of the land.

5. Christian Morals - The VERY FIRST AMENDMENT of the Constitution ASSURES people of freedom of religion and no state backed religion.

Like all libtards you are so full of crap it boggles the mind....there is nothing 'radical' about the Tea Party or conservative politics...the real 'radicals' are the ones currently in the White House...

1. the New Deal was a form of socialism....and the markets only recovered from FDR policies because WWII started...did you know FDR even caused a recession during the Great Depression...? reminds me of the current Dimwit in the WH......what i don't get is why you libtards don't support Brat's win against Big Business...?

2. It's not 'ridiculous' to kick out anybody who is illegal....it's the LAW...

3. the Constitution says that anything not ennumerated belongs to the STATES....the FEDS have been overstepping their bounds for a very long time and it's reaching critical mass...

4. Obummercare was slammed through a Democrat congress/Dem Senate and not ONE Republican voted for it....very bad politics for such a huge issue....and any reputable poll will tell you that the American people do not want it...

5. Yes...so why do you libtards hate Brat for professing his religious morals....? like you said religious freedom is guaranteed by the Constitution....but you liberals hate Christianity with a vengence because it gets in the way of your agenda....it's nice to hear a politician speak for traditional American morality...

One of an exceedingly few TP victories, but a nice one for them.

yes. but people also have to realize that with a small group like this - as opposed to one of the 2 major parties -- its really about the wins and not so much the losses. So with this win and if they take out cochran they have had an enormously successful election season so far and it doesnt matter if they lost 10 other races.

the MSM, Democrats and also the main stream republicans are always anxious to point to everyone of their defeats and proclaim that they are dead. They totally miss the point about who these people are and they also show how truly little they know about politics.

another way to look at it is the tea party also failed to unseat Graham in SC last night so you could say they split those 2 races and in a sense that is true. The reality though is that the impact of pulling the Cantor upset is 10 if not 100 times greater than failing to also pull off the graham upset.

The same Israel that has spied on the US,Stolen state secrets,Attacked a US ship and gotten us involved in MANY of THEIR wars? Not much of an ally but you Israel Firsters do stick together tell ya what since your loyalty is to ISRAEL or ANY foreign country for that matter MOVE THERE! I am loyal to this country somewhere along the line, family, etc comes first. You mean he invited diplomats and presidents and prime ministers in to talk which is much better than bombing the shit out of everyone and we MIGHT get somewhere..you damn extremists are bat fucking crazy and I thank my lucky stars I cut all ties with the republicrazy party when I did...Obama Derangement Syndrome is really taking its toll on yall.
