Why did we need an Inflation Reduction Act in the first place. Why did Biden take credit for a rebounding economy after Covid, low unemployment which he had nothing to do with but then claim inflation and supply chain issues were not his fault? Seems he just wants it both ways.

To be fair it didn’t matter whether Trump signed the bill or not, it was passed overwhelmingly and was veto proof and the vast amount of Congressional Democrats were pushing hard to pass it.

Other than the first round of Covid funds I was all for, after that Congress should have targeted the bills to help those most impacted by Covid.

Between the 2.2 trillion by Trump and the 5.8 approved by Biden, that is what caused inflation, both sides of the aisle created the inflation. I am not sure if it was all necessary. I was happy when Manchin and Sinema blocked the $6 trillion spending package, that would have sent inflation into double digits.

People paid a premium for goods and services, that were in short supply.
Corporations never looked back and their profits skyrocketed.
