White House Confirms It's Purging Disloyal Employees 'From the Bowels of the Federal Government

There is no such thing as "deep state".

There's no such thing as a blue state either or whistleblower, they/it exists only in name so it it can be identified as to its purpose, much like "the deep state", but all this should have been obvious to you without that bogus response.

Those employees (not political appointees) are people that have served under multiple administrations - conservative and liberal, Republican and Democrat. Only Trump seems to be having any problems.
and employees can be fired, if they can't then they are free to act in ways the employer objects to while receiving political cover from opposition parties, like calling them whistleblowers instead of "leakers" when they are doing the work of your party...
In any case whether the "the deep state" exists or not, the folks paying the price are who was/is being referred to when "the deep state" is being referenced, folks working behind the scene, unseen employees, people with an agenda who are so necessary to one parties existence that they have tried to make sure they cannot be removed.

Oh stop it already. Do you have any idea how childish and ignorant you sound when you spout stupidity like that?

If you actually believe that, you need some sort of psychological counseling.

That is exactly what penetrates your thick cranium and gests your attention.

You're an idiot. What's more your entire party is comprised of idiots.

I'm pretty sure now that after watching those idiot Democrat's debate, the Russians no longer feel the need to interfere in the 2020 elections.

Comrade Trump loves the poorly-educated. You appear to be over-afflicted with Trump's love.
Anyone with an Ivy League degree with a deep state history/politics department is poorly-educated in citizenship requirements of loyalty to other Americans.. I'm just not buying what Schumer-Feinstein-Pelosi-Schiff-Nadler-Waters-AOC are selling.
Instead you are dumb enough to believe Trump.

My God.
Thou shan't use God's name in vain, and you just did. May he deal with you mercifully until you wise up.

Who got your vote, dingus - Hillary?
You're an idiot!

Keep it under your MAGA hat.

You worthless leftist traitors crack me up!

You are a lip-service patriot with a dirty mind.
The Deep State is a pretty dirty deal, Mr. Denizen.
deep state haahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
You're hiding behind forgetting about the Democrats' closed door ploy in a country that has never closed the door when seeking a valid impeachment. That in and of itself should make you think twice before laughing at those of us who noticed that this was a validation that the Democrats had plenty to hide from the American public and was not in accordance with openness and truth. Your laughter is as a brassy, tinkling cymbal signifying your disdain for ordinary American citizens who sent their representatives and senators to Washington to see to it fair and relevant laws are passed and that the government agrees to follow the will of the people. That's exactly why they locked you and I out of their calumnious meetings. They were digging into lies that might pass off as the truth, but fortunately for the American people, they exposed themselves as the traitors they are to not only the Constitution that supports truth as well as the rest of all Americans, regardless of party, gender, skin color, age, and condition of health.

You need to clean house of the traitors who incessantly rail against all that is good in America.

Trump...as usual...conflates loyalty to the country (or the office of the president) with loyalty to him, personally. Perhaps that should be fealty.

Can't recall this sort of things happening before. I wonder if this means combing Facebook and private lives?

White House Confirms It's Purging Disloyal Employees 'From the Bowels of the Federal Government'

The White House this week confirmed it is combing through federal agencies to identify employees not sufficiently loyal to President Trump to facilitate their ouster, sparking concerns the administration could run afoul of long-established civil service laws.

The administration is examining employees throughout the government to find anyone taking action officials decide represents an effort to undermine Trump, White House spokesman Hogan Gidley said on Fox News Monday. Gidley did not specifically mention career employees, who are statutorily protected against political retaliation, but did note the “millions” of individuals agencies employ. By contrast, there are only about 4,000 political appointees in government.

“It’s not a secret that we want people in positions that work with this president, not against him, and too often we have people in this government—I mean the federal government is massive, with millions of people—and there are a lot people out there taking action against this president and when we find them we will take appropriate action,” Gidley said.

His comments followed reports in Axios that the administration maintains “deep state” hit lists of employees to fire and the president has tasked the head of the Presidential Personnel Office, Johnny McEntee, to purge “bad people” who are not loyal to him. The latter report mentioned only political appointees, who serve at the pleasure of the president and can be dismissed at will, but Gidley’s comments this week appeared to go further.

“Time and time again we see in the media reports from people in the bowels of the federal government working against this president,” he said.

Gidley added that unelected federal workers were pushing “their own selfish political agenda” rather than advancing and executing Trump’s.

The latest comments do not mark the first time the Trump administration has stretched the limits of what is allowable under civil service protections. The number of federal employees proving their agencies took prohibited personnel practices against them reached an all-time high in Trump’s first year in office, according to the Office of Special Counsel. The State Department’s inspector general released two reports this year finding that the department illegally engaged in the political targeting of career employees. Federal law prohibits agencies from discriminating against any employee on the basis of political affiliation, or for any federal official to “coerce any applicant or employee to engage in political activity, or to retaliate against such individuals based on partisan politics.”

Good. Trumps the boss. If you don't want to further the bosses agenda, leave. If you don't leave you'll be thrown out. It's called at will employment.

The past 3 years is a prime example of why you DON'T leave people in your administration who are not on your side.
They work for the United States of America assfuck. Trump is just an employee & not the owner.
He's their boss, ass fuck. They work for America by implementing his agenda. That's what the electorate voted for.

Why? He's correct and you and your ilk are doing your best to turn our country into a third world dictatorship.

Welcome to the Banana Republic of America.

Yeah, what with our calls for socialism, our hatred of free speech and free religion, our ANTIFA brown shirts out assaulting reporters and creating terror in the cities, our shitting on the 4th by demanding tax returns to do fishing expeditions.

Well, someone is sure turning this into a third world Marxist dictatorship.

What did you think he/they meant when when referring to abolishing "the deep state"...these are all imbedded employees who keep an eye on the lefts enemies and are guarded by rules that protect them from dismissal for most any reason...if you were going to spy on your opponents what better way could be had?...if trump gets his way "the deep state" will be history and liberals will lose their real power, the ability to litigate away their opponents.

You're an idiot.

{
Political scientists and foreign policy experts have used the term deep state for years to describe individuals and institutions who exercise power independent of—and sometimes over—civilian political leaders. They applied it mainly to developing countries like Algeria, Pakistan, Egypt and Turkey, where generals and spies called the real shots in nominally democratic societies and replaced elected leaders when they saw fit. (Turkey and Egypt have recently moved to more overt security-state dictatorships, in which the deep state is the only state.)

For a generation, the people who saw something like an American deep state—even if they rarely called it that—resided on the left, not the right. The 9/11 attacks triggered the rapid growth of an opaque security and intelligence machine often unaccountable to the civilian legal system. In the 2000s, the critique focused on a “war machine” of military and intelligence officials, defense contractors and neoconservative ideologues who, in some versions, took orders directly from Vice President Dick Cheney. In the Obama era, the focus shifted to the eerie precision of “targeted killings” by drones, and then the furor over Snowden, the ex-National Security Agency contractor whose 2013 leaks exposed the astonishing reach of the government’s surveillance. “There’s definitely a deep state,” Snowden told the Nation in 2014. “Trust me, I’ve been there.”}

The Deep State Is Real

Imagine if Obama had done this and the lefties were crowing about it.

SOCIALISM! COMMUNISM! FASCISM! HITLER! AAAUUUGGGHHH!

Nutters are nutty.

Mac, it's 9 in the morning, how can you POSSIBLY be this drunk already? :dunno:
You appear to be trying to deny that what I said is correct.

Sure, go ahead.

What you said was incoherent. You must have skipped sleeping and just continued on yesterdays jag...

Yeah, let's admit there is something one might call the "deep state". They are the career folk who know their stuff, and who see to it things are running smoothly, and the whole shebang stays on the rails even while the political classes are having a riot in the upper chambers. These are the folks who defend the U.S. against enemies within and without, who ensure there are markets, and checks are being sent out when they are due, and so on, in a word, who prevent the whole thing from falling apart. Everyone owes these folks an enormous debt of gratitude.

The ludicrous thing about all this isn't the notion of a "deep state" itself, it's the paranoid, whiny screeching about how the Dear Leader - who would be wholly ineffectually without the "deep state" creating an orderly environment in which it is possible to carry out his orders - is being hampered and undermined by it. Underlying that paranoia is a notion of a Dear Leader whose orders miraculously create things, unless there are all-powerful folks standing in the way. It's a notion so utterly infantile only Trumpletons in their simplicity can come up with it - except it appears the upper echelons of the Trump administration are befallen by that prion disease of the brain.

That's devastating. Also, whoever thought McCarthyism is safely in the past, better think again.

We live in a sad time
Yeah, how dare Trump purge people actively undermining him and his agenda.

The nerve!

Grow the fuck up, asshat.

They are supposed to be loyal to our country & when they see Trump fucking America, they should speak up.

Yes, but "your country" is China.

We want people loyal to America - no democrat is loyal to America, not one.
Fuck off Trump boy.

My country is the USA. And as an American i despise what Trump is doing & I dispise all the stupid fucks that support him.

You are waging war to try and conquer the USA, but it isn't your country and we plan to fight to keep from EVER being the Marxist totalitarian dictatorship you seek. You despise the United States Constitution and everything it stands for, particularly the Bill of Rights.

The bill of rights has been perverted by the Bill Barr of non-rights and Donald the barbarian.

About bloody time.

... for the rise of poorly-educated, red-hat-wearing, anus-kissers that follow dear leader Donald Trump?

Trumpery is a greater danger to America than any other political ideology. Thank god most of the sufferers of Trumpery are compelled to wear red hats to identify them t the uninfected public.

The reason you're a Communist is that you're dumb as all fuck.

Barry Obama purged all Bush appointees on his first day in office.

You fucking moron.

The dumbfucks should have been purged 8 years earlier.

Obama and his Marxist vermin? Agreed.

You are evidently one of the dumbfucks. Keep it under your MAGA hat.

Got it, Barr perverted it to say that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, " when we all know that Gaia worship is the ONLY WAY to save the planet which is going to end at the end of the week unless we give up our wealth and liberty to democrat oligarchs. Barr also perverted it to say "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" when we know it's supposed to say MUST prohibit the homophobic and intolerant exercise of Christians who don't bow to LGBTQERSTUVWXYZ overlords. Then he perverted " or abridging the freedom of speech, " when it really says protecting feelz from hate speech through strict regulation of speech and thought by our overlords.

Yep, you Stalinists are right to hate him.
