Even at Pearl, sitting with their watertight doors latched open, it took multiple torpedo hits to sink the battleships. Bismarck took at least two torpedo hits and could still make over twenty five knots, unfortunately since one of the torpedoes jammed her rudder it was in a circle. South Dakota took a bomb hit on her B turret without any damage worse than scratched paint. It took over twenty torpedo hits apiece to sink Yamato and Mushashi. Prince of Wales took four torpedo hits and was still afloat until one of her engineering officers started up a bent prop shaft and tore her stern apart. It did take multiple tries. But in the end it was one plane that dropped one bomb on target that was the fatal blow. So could planes sink a battleship? Yes. What more needs to be said. And planes did a hell of a lot of damage at Pearl Harbor. So apparently, you are the retarded piece of shit.

I don't know exactly what various weapons Japanese used to sink what. The point is one airplane could sink a battleship. And when the Japanese started using planes piloted by kamikazes, that scared the shit out of the sailors.
